How far does he fall? I almost wonder if the Cards wouldn't be able to get him with their second round pick.

Without a trade up with the 49ers to number 2. He stops at 4 to Oakland.

Dude should buy DangeRuss a Rolls if he got drafted #1, without Russ, this too short QB would be a second rounder.

More like a 7th. Russell Broke that Mold, remember many said he was a 7th or UDFA.

Similar to RG3, who Murray reminds me of.

Maybe. I think Gruden does like him, but I don't think that would be a smart pick for Oakland. Then again, after trading Mack and Amari, I'm not sure what a smart move for Oakland would be.

28" arms, dude has T-rex arms. Don't think those will work in nfl, Russ's arms are 4" longer. Kyler is missing inches where it counts.

He measured in at 5-foot-10 1/8 and weighed 207 pounds with 9 1/2 hands.

I can't stress enough how massive of a win this was for Murray, as many expected him to measure in at -- or even under -- 5-9, and while there was buzz recently about him weighing over 200 pounds, to be seven pounds above that figure sends a message that he can sustain that weight at the NFL level.

Just as importantly to some -- including myself -- Murray's hand size is well above the threshold of nine inches and was another huge victory.

the draft guy on the "Get up" show said he has stood with Russell and with Murray and he said the two aren't built remotely the same. he said Russell is built like a running back / Safety and Murray is like a WR / PR. He also said FWIW that he did not believe the weight was accurate. His estimate was 165 - 170 for Murray. He said Russell is 220 - 225 easy and physically imposing for his height.

All I know is I'm hoping big time that Kyler goes to the Cards. Because if he doesn't, the Niners are gonna' get a haul for that #2 pick.

Kyler Murray weighed in at 207 at the NFL Scouting Combine. It was well documented and widely reported. I seriously doubt he could have fudged his weight at the combine, especially under the scrutiny that he himself was under, and there's no way he could have fudged it by 35-40 pounds.

Kyler is probably closer to 185 naturally. His ideal playing weight in the NFL is probably 190-195. You can put on 20+ pounds of water/fat/muscle in a few months. Kyler was in a sweatshirt the whole time and he didn't do anything at the combine. So I think it's fair to assume he bulked up for the combine just to get his weight in the 200 range. He weighed in at 205 on his pro day a month later, but he still looked like a guy a little heavy for his size. He could have dispelled that notion if he ran, but he didn't.

Russell was 200+ and did pretty much all the drills while looking absolutely shredded at the combine. If you put them side by side, he'd dwarf Murray.

I don't know what this has to do with Russ.

I was merely posting Kylers height, weight, and hand size as recorded at the combine.

I'm sure he probably bulked up some. I doubt he bulked up by 40 lbs in the 2 months in between the Orange Bowl and the combine.

Russ has 32” arms and this guy has 28” arms. That translate into 8” of additional arms or say 15 lbs?

A lean Russ would be like 210-215lbs, A lean Kyler probably 180-185lbs. Dude probably had lots of pizza the two months before combine, and of course wore something helpful during the combine.

The closest to our Russ's built? Mike Tyson at his prime, 5'10 1/2" 220ish lbs

I guess we can let the "experts" tell us.

Come tomorrow, If Kyler happened to be available at #21. Should we take him as backup for Russ? To me, he is a second or a third rounder, so even a reach at #21. Dude also may not sit like a good boy and learn from Russ, but if Kyler would to flash some in preseason games, we might get multiple first round picks when we trade him. Should we pull the trigger if he slipped to #21? Or available at say #19, do we trade up to grab him?
