So far, two games in, he did nothing. Zero flash.

Hoping that he will raise to the occasion, take this opportunity and run with it.

It's very hard to make a flash with single digits snaps during a game unless you're a pass rush specialist. 75 percent of plays are going to be away from you. So let's say he had 12 snaps total. Yeah, maybe like 3 in his area?

Cody Barton so far hasn't impress me, he just doesn't have the strength. Brooks on the other hand looks pretty capable of shedding blockers. I think Brooks is the future with Barton being a solid backup.

Thanks for this response.

The one you quoted is why I spend very little time actually commenting on this board

Bare in mind that Dallas historically has had one of the best Offensive Lines in the NFL. We did not look good against them in that last meeting.
They are not that good any more..... injuries, age, and overhype have caught up to them.

Why we hold rookies back, they tend to be over aggressive and stray outside their gaps and assignments trying to prove they belong, he is an aggressive kid, that's what will hurt him early on, Bobby has to keep him centered and tell him to maintain his gap and assignment and let the game come to him.

Taken over queen because he is better. Some people hold grudges for no reason. Watch tomorrow.

I thought Brooks looked great on first viewing. He was fast, tracked Kyler on a big third down stop and was really good in coverage. I was against the draft pick but regardless I think he's going to be really good.

I'd say Brooks vs Irvin at the same stage, Brooks is ahead of him, if he stays healthy. 7 tackles yesterday.

I noticed that play too, at first I thought it was Bobby.... when he screamed in there and got Murray...

Getting mistaken for Wagner always a good thing.

In my estimation Brooks is kind of in a great PT position due to our situation. We kind of need to play our young'uns and go for broke with them. Start him now to finish with him later. If it works out, great. If it doesn't better off knowing ASAP.

Brooks confirmed what us who liked the pick saw when digging into MULTIPLE years of his tape. His roles drastically changed, but he succeeded at basically all. His run defense was on full display recently, but he showed promise and competence in coverage. It looks like he hasn't lost his touch in space.

He gets through gaps, closes FAST, and can drop back. He's got all the tools you want a linebacker to have. This is a potential star.
