64% to the 0.
36% to the D.

One side should be way better just like in the early 2010s.

Playing like:

100% O
0% D

And the O isn't even playing that well either

Draft capitol = +400% to the defense.

When you factor in salary cap + draftpicks, more is invested in the defense.

Is that actual 2021 salary, this year's cap, total current and future years' cap. Is it just starters, the whole roster, or something else? 1 year cap figures aren't representative of an individual player's impact on the current or future cap situation.

Whatever. As has already been pointed out the cap ignores Draft resources which are also important to factor in.

OvertheCap.com has the 53-man roster's current overall numbers for 2021 as $92,364,561 for the offense and $63,385,953 for the defense. By my (possibly faulty) math, that's 59.3% offense and 40.7% defense. https://overthecap.com/salary-cap/seattle-seahawks/

According to that site, Wilson's current cap hit is $32M, which is just over 1/5 (20.5%) of the total for the 53-man roster.

I appreciate the response. I'm pretty well versed with both overthecap and Spotrac and how to read the contracts. My points were that single year cap numbers don't accurately reflect player contracts, (EG Adams counts as $5M this year but will count as $24M in a few years time), the highest paid non-starters are D-Line or QB, rosters generally have more offensive players than defensive players, and drafted players on rookie contracts cost less than veteran FAs. Thus basic evaluations start with inaccurate cap figures and are then subject to further random inaccuracies.
...and none of it really matters anyway.
