We need Jody Allen to put out a press release saying the team is not going for Baker Mayfield right now but its possible in the future.

That's fine. I'm not super concerned about my credibility on a football fan forum LOL! It's not like I'm some professional sports reporter. I just happen to know they are trying to get Baker and a deal is close to being done.
somebody with sources and credibility wouldn't be on a football fan forum.

Josina's a Browns reporter who just laid out "if it doesn't get done scenario". In any other world, that might indicate it's falling apart. I think Welsher's her source and she's Balko's source.... Schneider's got a pretty good QB record so far so I'm interested to see it play out. I can't see him selling the farm, nor passing up a solid opportunity. We'll know who's actually leading the QB competition when they show one of them making a free throw or playing Horse, or 3on3 on .com. That's really the only good source before preseason.

I do think Baker is going to end up here unless someone jumps in at the last minute.

No, no you dont. You dont have any sources and are grasping. When thread gets old, you start a new one. It stinks of desperation. Too many times we have seen this on .NET over the years. When you are wrong I would love an apology, but there won't be one. It will continually be, "it's close" or "clearly my sarcasm went over everyones head" or "it was so close but just didn't get through". It will not be up there with Duncan's but the credibility will be on par if it isn't already.
Here's the thing...

I thought Welshers was joking about Mayfield all along. He even uses ridiculous terms like referring to Mayfield, an NFL QB with a ceiling low enough that nobody wants to pay him even 20% of top-QB money (I say this because the rumors that appear to have their origin in an interested party like the Browns or Mayfield himself are talking about the Browns eating half of Mayfield's guaranteed $18.9M, and nobody's biting even at that price), as the Seahawks' "savior."

I'm completely serious. I really thought Welshers was doing over-the-top parodies of Mayfield fans. However, his recent posts in this thread have made me change my view. I guess I found it really hard to believe anyone would actually think of a player that weak, and that expensive for what he can provide, as a team's "savior." 🤷‍♂️

It's official: Baker is a Panther. Carolina gave up a conditional 5th rounder.

Great, so we get 2 average at best QB's, and that's ok? Lame
Oh well, they likely weren't that interested in the first place. Just the media and/or his agent hyping it up. Next

I would have liked Baker. The front office better be right about Lock. Even if he's bad, the rest of the team is good enough where I doubt we'll have a top 3 draft pick. And we would need the Broncos to be bad too to have a realistic chance of trading into there.
