That swoosh sound was the conversation going over your head, again!

What a tool.
Nothing went over my head you moron. Sure he was referring to my name but nobody laughed but you. I might be obsessed with hating a rival but you’re obsessed with me. And that is funny to no end lol

Seriously, I wonder at what point Niners fans drop the rhetoric about having trading camp be “an honest competition” No matter what.

If Purdy gets them past Green Bay, Dallas, Philadelphia, you guys are really going to sit there and say, “well we’ll just have to see how Lance does in PRESEASON.”

No the Shire isn’t Seattle it’s Denver or wherever Wilson rides the bench at.

Oh ! Thought this thread was about your obsession with Trey and the three first rounders and the third that Lynch gave away. How does Russel fit into this equation ?

Do you listen to knbr Ever? Read the links off ninersnation? These sentiments are spreading, and for reason.

Like I said, Lance has started 4 games. His average QBR was 34. Purdys average is 67.
Lance started 4 regular season games? When did this happen ?

No it’s only you and your buddy 49er fan dirty dozen. Talk about delusional

Well yeah, some of them seem to not want to discuss actual factual info about Lance, like what’s in his Wikipedia.

The old quote tags don’t work but here’s the relevant part.

Lance began the 2021 season as the second-string quarterback behind incumbent starter Jimmy Garoppolo, but made his NFL debut in Week 1 against the Detroit Lions. He was used in one play during the first quarter, in which he contributed to the eventual 41–33 victory by throwing a five-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Trent Sherfield.[20] In Week 3 against the Green Bay Packers, Lance took the field for two plays and scored a rushing touchdown on the first. The game ended in a 30–28 defeat.[21]

During Week 4 against the Seattle Seahawks, Lance saw his first significant playing time when he relieved an injured Garoppolo in the second half. He completed 9 of 18 passes for 157 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 41 yards on seven carries, with the 49ers ultimately losing 28–21.[22] Due to Garoppolo's injury, Lance was named the starter for the following week's game against the Arizona Cardinals.[23] Lance completed 15 of 29 passes for 192 yards, rushed for 89 yards on 16 carries, and threw his first interception on the 49ers' opening drive to safety Budda Baker in the 17–10 defeat.[24] Following the game, it was announced Lance suffered a sprained knee.[25] The injury made Lance unavailable for the Week 7 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts, with Nate Sudfeld replacing him as the second option behind a returning Garoppolo.[26] He returned as Garoppolo's backup during the next week's 33–22 victory over the Chicago Bears.[27] Lance did not take field again until the 49ers' final drive against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 11. He rushed for seven yards before taking the victory formation to complete the 30–10 win.[28]

Lance remained the second-string quarterback for the next five weeks until Garoppolo suffered a thumb injury in a 20–17 loss to the Tennessee Titans. Making his second start in Week 17 against the Houston Texans, Lance threw for 249 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. The 49ers subsequently won 23–7, earning Lance his first career win.[29] Lance's start marked his final appearance in 2021 after Garoppolo returned for the regular season finale against the Los Angeles Rams.[30] He held a backup role during the 49ers' playoff run, which concluded with a defeat to the Rams in the NFC Championship Game.[31] Following the season, Lance revealed he spent the year battling a right index finger injury he suffered in a preseason game against the Las Vegas Raiders.[32]

Lance was named the starter over Garoppolo for the 2022 season, but appeared in only two games before suffering a season-ending ankle injury against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2.[33] His only full game of the season was the opener against the Chicago Bears, completing 13 of 28 passes for 164 yards and an interception in a 19–10 loss.[34][35]

On January 1, 2023, it was revealed that Lance had a second surgery on his previously injured ankle to remove hardware that was causing irritation.

end

Look, the longer Purdy withstands a gauntlet of Green Bay, Dallas and Philadelphia, the harder it will be to push the narrative that Lance needs to be the starter Bc he could have beaten Josh Allen or Burrows or Mahomes. Yeah, but given his QBR he might not have gotten them to that position.

The close call on Raiders was really more about defense. Purdy stays there not flustered and bails out the no 1 defense in the league.

This makes the 49ers org relentless promotion of Lance since Purdy took over hard to understand.

One way to understand it is trade value. If they effectively say "he is no better than a back-up" then that is what he will be. If they can convince teams that he is good enough to be a starter then they might be able to trade him on for some decent draft picks.

Seahawk fans hope and pray y’all force Trey into starting again like this year (even though he’s their worst quarterback). Must suck being strapped to a guy who you spent all that draft capital on that doesn’t have the skills required in this league to succeed. At least the Bills only spent one first rounder on EJ Manuel before finding Josh Allen

Well according to Wikipedia he threw for 602 yards and 5 TD'S and a 97.3 passer rating.

So. 🤷🏽‍♂️
Well according to my eyes and everyone else who isn’t a blowhard knows Trey has been given the opportunity he just hasn’t risen to the occasion. He can be a gadget guy like Kaep but he’ll have to improve his speed some lol

Trey Lance is their worst qb, the trade has certainly not played out how they would have preferred, who knows what they have in Lance. Maybe nothing, maybe the game is too fast for him and they wasted those picks. Maybe.
But as far as things sucking, 10 wins in a row with Mr. Irrelevant leading the charge is anything but a sucky feeling I can assure you.
can only get so hard bruh.
