Thanks Jville, things are all updated.

Am hoping the team sees KJ Wright and Bobby Wagner back for the Rams game.

Seahawks are finishing the year with Cap casualties. I can't recall a previous year in which they finished the year while backing themselves into such a severe cap corner.

Roster churn >>> [urltargetblank]http://www.seahawks.com/news/2017/12/19/seahawks-waive-lb-kache-palacio[/urltargetblank]

The Seahawks waived linebacker Kache Palacio Tuesday, freeing up a spot on their 53-man roster.
The Seahawks also added two players two their practice squad, safety Alex Carter and defensive end Noble Nwachukwu.

Thanks Jammer,

I feel revived after a two week get away.

An evolving Seahawk cap crunch continues to grow unabated. I find such a presumed indifference puzzling. Since you also track salary cap, I thought you might find the following link interesting on this developing story ...... Seahawks needlessly burned cap space on Sunday >>> [urltargetblank]https://www.fieldgulls.com/2017/12/20/16798102/seahawks-rams-salary-cap-zero-snaps-sunday-eddie-lacy-inactives-thomas-rawls[/urltargetblank]

Follow on links to practice squad additions .......

Alex Carter was a safety conversion project of the Lions that the Seahawks are once again taking a look at for a second time at free safety. Defensive End Noble Nwachukwu has been described as a quick twitch hybrid long shot >>>> Links here >>> [urltargetblank]https://www.smokingmusket.com/2017/4/27/15444072/2017-nfl-draft-profile-west-virginia-wvu-mountaineers-defensive-end-noble-nwachukwu[/urltargetblank] and here >>> [urltargetblank]https://ninernoise.com/2017/06/20/49ers-defensive-lineman-noble-nwachukwu/[/urltargetblank]

I think that must be the direction the team is leaning towards.

Every other direction is cap prohibitive, and Shead could actually make the DB corps stronger for the last 2 games.

Given the rules the team could wait another week on Shead before deciding to activate him from PUP or to refer him to IR.

I'd suspect they'd want Shead more than Carson and will wait to see if the platyoffs are still in the cards before recalling Carson from IR. Delaying another week allows his ankle to be stronger still.

It will be interesing to see what direction the team moves in with these two.

Thanks Kitsap!

This was expected good news!

Wonder how much he will play and how this move affects Griffin and the other DBs?

Updated.

This offseason is going to bring about many roster changes and several of the established players here who are aging or underperforming their contracts in one way or another will be not renewed, possibly traded, or released.

There are only 38 or 39 contracts which will be ineffect at the end of the league’s season or at the beginning of next year,s.

Thanks Jville! Interesting information. The Brown and Richardson trades certainly have changed the team’s cap plans somewhat.

This situation and the number of existent continuing contracts will make for some significant offseason turnover. Any player perceived to be und performing his deal will be under scrutiny as per usual. As well though there could be some offloading of veteran contracts as trades happen or some essential players get new deals. Some fixture players may be moved out to allow he team to become younger.

The ability to now trade compensatory picks has also factored into the cap machinations of JS and to the planning going forward. I wonder how the team now regards the acquisitions of this season especially those se kingly underperforming and comparatively expensive acquisitions of Joeckel and Lacy. They are both likely gone as the team can get equivalent or improved production from younger and cheaper players. I just can’t see the team renewing Graham at his present cap number or anything close to it. The Chancellor and Avril situations have pros and cons. JS will need to be very astute to avoid seeing a significant loss of talent this offseason.

I could see a few mid-range roster keeps from the guys already here but very few new new acquisitions except from the castoff piles.

To me it would be nice to see a few coaching changes but Pete seemingly may be overly loyal to some real underperforming coaches.
