Looks like the old Zunino is back. Swinging at balls a foot and a half outside of the strike zone.

I wonder what the risks are of getting Harvey from the Mets. Couple of years ago, he was pretty electric.

Per reports this will be ichiros last weekend with the team.
Kind of surprised he lasted this long. Love what the guy brought to the team years ago, but we can't afford that void on our roster. He's got no pop in his bat and his patented fall away drag bunt/single doesn't work any more because he can't outrun the throw. I guess he's a league average outfielder, but we have guys who can do that that are years younger champing at the bit to get their chance.

Sorry to say, but the Ichiro thing is kind of played out.

I didn't mind the Ichiro signing since Gamel was hurt and I really want him and Felix to play postseason ball for the M's. They deserve it. But it's probably a good move. Heredia deserves more playing time. Gamel is under performing. I was hoping Ichiro would give us at least a .280 batting average....but it didnt happen.

LeBlanc is taking Ramirez' spot in the rotation.

Don’t see what SS sees in Nicasio. Games like this is why I hate pitch limits for MLB pitchers, especially if they are dealing.

When you're happy that Ichi struck out.
lol... a bitter loss but Ichiro needs to gooooooo. Don’t care who he was, he isn’t that player anymore. If a rookie was playing as bad as him, they’d be gone. This should be no different.

So any explantation for why you don’t pitch hit for Ichiro in that situation...?

SS, public relations, and the whole mariner organization wanted him to be the hero.

I believe Heredia was runnnng for Z at the time ;) so the only options would have been Gamel or Romine, I think. Not much better this year.

I agree, though. Ichiro was 0-fer at the time. :229031_shrug:
