I heard somewhere they should all be fired.

I had to delete some stuff to hold back being mean to people, but that was definitely here that you heard that

In the end knee jerk responses and the desire for continuous 48-3 beat downs along with suffocating D, ample cap room to acquire FAs leads to this disatisfaction with Pete’s formula to hammer the opposition by running hard at the opponent and winning late leads those dissatisfied with low scoring and less than suffocating D to want this partnership fired.

Of course those grumblers are happy to root for a playoff team and reluctantly acknowledge the excellence has happened for the past ten years. I suppose there is an expectation of constant excellence when the reality of the cap and player aging and injury requires roster manipulation. There notwithstanding picking late every draft and having to overcome the problems of cap depletion, FA, and the late picks every season leads to more grumbling about no 1st round pick contribution, it the late picks seem always to be special. What’s up?

Reality is simply Pete and John work well together and John and his personnel team are superior at combing the the draft for late picks and recognizing players who fit Pete’s needs. Pete’s formula on O is frustrating to watch compared to KC’s but is successful when RW is let loose. The D lately struggles w/o the pass rush they may be able to find next season to replace the early successes in acquiring the pass rush talent. It isn’t perfect by any means but the results are superior and the best this team have ever had. The team is regularly a playoff contender, and this even happens when rebuilding.

Simply they have done their jobs better than anyone has ever done it here before.

Needless to say I’m a fan, it’s OK to not always be happy with these guys but overall they have done well.

Your last 2 sentences nail it. Without these 2 there is no Lombardi Trophy in the trophy case.
....but when they screw up, it’s ok to be critical and realistic about it. They are not perfect, but they are the best duo this org has had.

Because we are seeing posts that try to portray a false relationship between Pete and Carroll to fit a narrative, this probably needs to be bumped back to the front page.
