At this point, it seems like he legitimately needs to be committed to psychiatric care.

Agreed. He is clearly a very troubled individual. I hope he gets the help he so clearly needs.

He's a very troubled guy. He has very bad drug and alcohol addiction. It may take some prison time to save his life. It would actually be good for him. Without it I think he will kill himself. I don't think he will be around much longer at this pace. It would be an understatement to say he is wildly out of control.
