He'd be a good addition because the Saints would pick up a bunch of the salary. We'd owe him 5.5m / 8m / 11.5m / 25m but the last three would have no guaranteed money.

That being said it depends on the price tag because we've traded away too much draft capital in recent years as it is.

Adams straight up for Kamara sounds good.

So many holes to fill on the OL and defense though.

Total mismanagement of the cap, first they need to trim the worst deadbeats off the roster before occurring new debt. Try getting rid of Penny first.

Dumb and dumber.

Penny is a free agent, and as of right now has now cap affect on the Seahawks.

Penny is a free agent. There's no guarantee he resigns with Seattle. Collins is a free agent as well. Carson may never play again. That leaves us with Dallas and Homer as the only RB's currently signed on the roster.

Only way the Saints can afford to trade him is if the Hawks would take on his full salary other than his prorate bonus, otherwise the Saints couldn't afford to. Plus it would have to be a post june trade even then, as a pre june and they would get very little cap savings so don't see them doing it.

If the hawks did that they would be paying him
19 mil roughly this year.
19.5 mil next year
33 mil his last year which means cutting him or extending him and coverting most of that 22.4 mil base salary into bonus stretched out over several years.

Yes he is great but honestly I think that is way to much to pay for a RB.

That'd be an all-in kind of move, and I don't think we'd have enough talent around him to take advantage. It would almost definitely hurt us in a few years.

I wasn't aware in trade you can take less or more than the players set contract..
Explain this please..I do know the original takes the dead money hit ect.
I'd rather resign Penny..Carson is done period in my mind.

marshawn lynch exception aside, you should always bring in RBs from the draft/UDFA.

I wouldn't care if he chopped someone up with an axe in the bathtub.

If he was legally allowed to play in the NFL, I would be happy to have him in the Seahawks.

Not sure he would do as well here though, we don't throw enough to our RBs for some reason.

Yeah, that sounds like something that would happen to an elite player in the NFL.

I recall Marshawn being a big target during his stint, and I've been pining for some of that counter passing game to make its way back into our game plan.

Lynch, uncovered, squirting out the backside of a play going the other direction. Wilson tossing an easy layup pass to him. Lynch daring any safety or running back to try him 1v1. Lynch quietly shaking hands in the end zone. Just doing his job. Good memories.

Marshawn had his share of scrapes with the law too. Would you bring him in again if you had a do-over?
