Over at my Bruins board, an interesting question was posed, who are your favorite non-Bruins ever. At first you think it is a pretty easy thing to answer, but truthfully, I still haven't been able to kick out a list after a few days. So many factors to hockey fandom.

So, Seahawks fans, who are your favorite ten non-Seahawks ever? *EDIT to add, I forgot to make it a top ten list, absolutely my fault for the first few lists that went over ten, but the next ones, please try to keep it to ten, which is why it is difficult*

My list:
Jerome Brown
Mike Singletary
Ronnie Lott
Reggie White
Barry Sanders
Earl Campbell
Walter Payton
Jim Burt
Derrick Thomas (it is very difficult putting a rival on the list, for hockey I couldn't do it, but Thomas was fun to watch)
Lawrence Taylor

Bob Lurtsema (yes, he was a Seahawk, but spent most of his career with Vikings)
Hank Stram
Franco Harris
Mean Joe Greene (for his Coke commercial)
Jack Youngblood
Art Donovan
Ron Mix

Almost impossible to narrow the list down to ten. Just going with ten who I loved watching play at different times in my life for one reason or another. The list would probably change next week somewhat if I did it again.

--Walter Payton
--Dick Butkus
--Dan Hampton
--Lawrence Taylor
--Allan Page
--Joe Montana
--Ronnie Lott
--Deacon Jones
--Joe Namath
--Fred Biletnikoff

If they weren't Raiders (1960 to 1976) or Hawks (1976 to present) they were the enemy, so they can not be a favorite player period!

PS I also HATE fantasy football. It makes fans of players and not teams.

I figure that list was probably really easy for you. Question though, I don't think I could ever put a person on my favorite list if they merc'd themselves to a bitter rival like Haley and Sanders did. Any reservations along those lines?

I hear you, playing against Charles Haley was not fun, but it was Emmit and that Oline that put the big hurt on us back then as far as I can remember.
For about a 3 year peak period in the early 90’s that Cowboys rushing attack is still the most unstoppable offensive force i’ve ever seen.
For defense, it is without a doubt Lawrence Taylor. Because reasons.

HaHa I will start and add too many gotta think them through.
Ken Stabler
Fred Biletnikoff
Cliff Branch
Dave Casper
Willie Brown
Jack Tatum
John Matuszak
Ted Hendricks
Ray Guy
Jim Otto

Man there are soooooooo many more cant do it in 10 want to add some older ones and some newer ones. Didn't even get into so many others. Most of my favs were from the late 60s to the early 70s. Was a little young to remember all the great ones from 60 till about 1968. If I went back into my books the old names and memories would come flashing back in a heartbeat.

I’ll try but it’s gunna take some time.

Here’s my first two

Kenny Easley
JJ watt

Wait non Seahawk?
Crap

JJ Watt
Lyle Alzado
Earl Campbell
Reggie White
Larry Fitz
Mike Singletary
Joe Greene

I’m still thinking, this is actually tough and I reserve the right to flip and flop. It’s tough when you say non-Seahawk. At least 5-6 of my favorites are in fact Hawks

Edit:
I’m torn between Joe Namath and Fran Tarkington
Still thinking but won’t add both.

I guess Walter has to be on my list

I’m also thinking bout putting the “fridge” on my list, I got a lot of entertainment out of him for a couple years.

If Moon had never played for us, I would have him edging out Taylor, but he doesn't qualify for this list. I loved watching him passing in the run and shoot. The stuff that he did with Hill, Givins and Jefferies was so fun to watch.

Oops, I forget the OP's request...

This replacement name might draw the ire of some, or many,

Edelman - love his grit and ability even with being undersized
