2002 : 4-4
2001 : 3-5
2000 : 3-5
1999 : 4-4
1998 : 2-6
1997 : 4-4
1996 : 3-5
1995 : 3-5
1994 : 3-5
1993 : 2-5

That is just sad that this is only the 3rd time in 37 years that we'll be over .500 on the road

On the flip side of the coin it's oft stated that the Seahawks have a better home field advantage than most teams, so perhaps there's a proportional offset there. Just a supposition of course.

Who says they are bad on the road? There is not one season in there where they went o-fer on the road!! Road woes? Nah. :sarcasm_on:

Our home field advantage is a product of both our crowd and distance/time zones traveled by opponents. It is only natural that the latter part of that would apply equal and opposite on the road.

But these facts are without comparison to other teams in the league. I would guess our numbers are the same on the road as at least 1/2 of the other teams. 2008-2010 looked bad, but getting better now.

When we get to 5-3 on the road, good things happen!

The two times its happened, those were some great teams.

Pretty amazing that a good team can win anywhere, huh?

We should just have a good team more often. Road problems solved.

Most teams have W-L records on the road like that. Most teams that get to 5-6 wins on the road are pretty dominant teams that are set to make a statement in the playoffs, and probably don't even have to make that statement on the road. There are few teams in history that have gone 8-0 on the road. Quite a few teams have gone 0-8 on the road before, and we are not one of them.

Yeah they usually say that if you can get 3 or 4 wins on the road that you've got a real shot at the playoffs.

The Seahawks have never had a team this good. Not this young or this deep ever. They have improved every year under Carroll and as a product of that they are better on the road.

Last year they lost some close road games, 3 of which they had late leads with. They were better though and that little improvement puts them on the winning side of those games. It's the defense. Last night the Rams had the fortune of being successful on the ground, but the Seahawk defense kept them out of the end zone time after time.

With the ball in a spot where even the worst teams can score, the Hawks defense won the down, time after time and ultimately won the game.

If the Seahawks can win 18 straight games at home, they will tie a certain team's record of 18 straight road games.

Yet you got beat in the superbowl last year by a team that had a regular season road record of 4 - 4.

I yearn for the days of 1992 when it was just fun to be a Seahawks fan and we didn't have to bitch and complain everytime we won a game (twice).

I was reading the Football Outsiders commentary, and I believe (according to one of the FO people) that Seattle has the best Red Zone Defensive DVOA hands down....that it's not even close.
