The LA Rams signed Jeff Fisher to a 2 year contract extension on December 4, 2016. They realized their mistake and fired him December 12, 2016. It’s not too late to change your mistake regarding the Pete Carroll extension.

I'm just going to assume Jody allen doesn't give 2 craps about football and her advisors told her "The team continues to make it to the playoffs under PC and continues to bring money in year after year". You'd have to be an owner who is crazy passionate about football and another championship to decide to make a coaching change with the current results that does guarantee cash flow. The desire to keep Pete is a SMART business decision, the desire to pay Russ is a SMART business decision. Neither of these decisions is a "I care about getting the best chance at a championship" decision.

Proof is in the pudding in this salary cap era, how many teams with a top paid QB go to the SB? or do they all do it with a rookie QB contract and high paid veterans surrounding? Call BS all you want but Brees and Rodgers haven't won crap since they got paid. And it's really seeming like they're still not going to win another one before they retire.

There is zero chance Pete gets fired. Absolutely zero. It is possible he steps down if things start to go south, but fired? No way.

Eric Bieniemy is good, but firing a perennially successful coach is bonkers.

Man gets us to the playoffs year after year. Builds a winning culture.

Eric Bieniemy isn't a slam dunk. John DeFilippo was the slam dunk a while back and he's been fairly shite.

As frustrating as Pete can be, look at the last 8 years, franchise by franchise. The grass doesn't get much greener - point blank.

Before last year, Chiefs fans were calling for Andy Reid's head for the better part of a decade.

Now he and Bieniemy are football geniuses...........probably has nothing to do with having one of the most talented rosters in the history of the NFL, with the most talented QB of the past 25 years.

We lost to the Giants who actually aren't a bad team.... The Redskins just beat the Steelers should Mike Tomlin get fired? He's won the same number of titles as Carroll.

Every year 31 teams are disappointed. Try to manage your emotions accordingly.

Not to disparage Eric Bieniemy in any way, but Andy Reid actually calls the plays in KC. It’s hard to really gauge his HC potential without knowing how much of a role he has in that offense.

I don't know Why anybody would think that... If you looked at it from a business perspective PA bought the Seahawks for 195 million and now the Seahawks are worth 2.3 billion... the Hawks had an 8% increase in revenue in 2019 and a big part of that is because of Pete Carroll and the organization he has built... why would any business person mess with that?

The haters are going to hate, reality and common sense seem to be of little import. There’s a few of us here who accept reality, are happy with the direction of the team, naturally want more but know Pete’s a good head coach.

Pete is re-signed folks, deal with it. He will retire after this deal or soon enough and the team will have huge trouble replacing him.

Let’s move on, and find some other topic, like RW is too short, not black enough, or whatever nonsense floats your boat.

In the end when the team makes the playoffs or takes the Div away from the Rams/ Cardinals/49ers the haters will still hate and Pete and John will still be here and the team will continue to have a winning record.
