I agree with the first part of your post, but there are varying levels of horrible and Lindley is waaay below Stanton's (low) level. Though I think we handle Stanton just fine if he actually somehow plays, it's essentially a guarantee that Lindley will never move the ball against us.

I'm not sure if he's trolling us, trying to distract away from Lindley, or what he's up to. I will say this, if Stanton's knee isn't right still, it would be a really bad idea.

They're already in the playoffs. Why damage your chances from that point ?

It's not trolling, it's taking film study time away from focusing on the guy who will actually be the qb.

It doesn't say much better for Lindley either. Arians is doing anything he can to make us study/prepare for plays and players that won't happen or be in the game. Cardinals are in deep trouble is what it tells me.

I mean, I'm already sold on Lindley being awful, but I don't know that this gamesmanship by Arians speaks badly to Lindley since it only takes a bare minimum of time and effort for Arians to stir the pot like this. All he's really done is take five seconds to throw a chum into the middle of a circle of (media) sharks and let them start speculating.

Just to clarify something. When Arians said Sunday it was meant as in a joke. As in the next time he plays it will be a Sunday. He didn't say which Sunday.

Stanton will not be playing. He missed practice today.
