I would argue that wht he did was worse than throwing a punch. I would also argue that an elbow drop is close enough to a punch to warrant an ejection under the throwing a punch rule.

He should be suspended.

It's not even a comparison. Hitting someone's helmet with your hands (the helmet is always going to win) is a far cry from a 265 lb. man jumping and driving his (brace-covered) arm into the back of your head. If he missed just slightly lower, dude is paralyzed or has a broken neck. Absolutely disgusting, and ridiculous that he wasn't ejected on the spot. Will probably get a 2-game suspension with an appeal down to 1 game, if the NFL actually cares about player safety. :roll:

You cant suspend Danny Trevathan for the hit on Adams and then do nothing about this. At least the former was a "football" hit, the latter was an ugly cheap shot.

To me, easy suspension and a mark against the crew for not ejecting. Felt the same way about Amendola's hit on that punt in Denver awhile back.
