Gurley and Suh, or Lynch and Maxwell

No Marshawn, snag Gurley at 31 and sign Suh. Would YOU do it?

Id do it in a heart beat if I knew it would shake out that way.

Wed need to let Maxwell walk, send Lynch packing and say Good bye to Zach Miller as well most likely.. The secondary would be Sherman, Simon, Kam, Thomas and Lane

The D Line would be Bennett, Suh, Mebane/Hill, Avril (OMG)

Offense would be (if nothing else changed)

Wilson, Gurley, Baldwin, P Rich, Kearse, Willson, Michaels, Moeaki, Turbo, Lockette, Matthews

I hate to say it, but I still think the Hawks would have a dominant running game and the defense would be the greatest of all time.

Flame away!

Not a fan of any scenario where Lynch is "sent packing".

But if we did lose him, would I be ok with Gurley & Suh? Sure. Sure I would.

Why does Lynch have to be gone in order to draft Gurley?

Keeping Lynch is ideal in any scenario where we draft Gurley.

Anyone who wants to send Lynch packing is a obvious troll.

I'm not a troll and I love Marshawn Lynch I've been a fan since 1983 so call me a troll whatever. I just can't see any situation where we can have both Lynch and Suh.

Liar! Marshawn wasn't even a wink in his daddy's eye in 1983!

I'd prefer Lynch, Maxwell and Gurley myself.

We were 1 yard away from the SB without 80% of our DL. I love Suh, but he's not a big need.

If you get Suh you can't afford Lynch. If you can't afford Lynch you draft Gurley. That is the premise of what the OP is asking
And yes absolutely yes. Long term over short term

So in your example, we'd need Lynch. I don't care what we'd done in the past. I don't care what the Pats had done earlier in the game. You just aren't stopping Lynch with 1 yard to gain to win the freaking Super Bowl. Hell, he took half the Raiders team into he end zone in a fairly meaningless regular season game.

I'm on board trying to get Suh. Seriously, our defense would be beyond elite to almost epic (I still think you just throw at Simon all day long, but that could get better). My problem is this: you don't get rid of the most physical back in the league until he can't run anymore, especially with a team that depends on the run to do anything offensively.

We don't have a guarantee that Gurley is going to be half of what Lynch is. We don't have a guarantee that he'll produce at all at the NFL level. We do have a guarantee that Lynch will produce. He's about as sure a thing as there is in the NFL.

I love Mebane as well, but I'd be ok with letting him walk to get Suh. My ideal scenario would be to keep Lynch and Suh, and not lose Wagner in the bargain.

One in the hand is worth three in the draft.

This. Unless you're the Shanahan coached Broncos. Then you can plug just about anyone in.

I said "Hell No" on the top, but if This scenario came to pass, it'd be an epic happening.
