Losing that second one has made things worse.

Sure, we've got a ton of talent and it's hard to think about getting only one Lombardi out of it. But I'm fairly sure that my esteemed 12 brethren who cite that, would still be pissed if we'd won five Lombardis. Not all, but some.
Teams with SB-level rosters fall short of the Lombardi every year. The fact that we've had a longer competitive run than anyone else, pretty much validates Carroll's philosophy for me, even as I think he could do better.

I am finding now, after having witnessed Seahawks Nirvana in the form of a 43-8 beat down to win it all in SBXLVIII, I just don't get as worked up as I used to after enduring a tough or underachieving season.
