I live just north of Super Bowl Champion City Center! Life is just better for that... can't explain it better.

Well, my wife now thinks I am crazy because I keep buying Super Bowl related memorabilia.

I live in the D.C. area. Over the past 20 years (when I moved from the PNW), I know there could be no questions about my fandom when I wore Hawk gear. Otherwise, why would I be wearing the colors of a historically mediocre franchise with no championships? Particularly in a city that has (ancient) history. Now, in the back of my mind I wonder if people think I'm a bandwagon or frontrunner. It's just a fascinating personal by-product that I hadn't expected.

On another note, I'm not stressing about the offseason the way I normally would. Will Bennett stay or go? Because we already won the championship, and they can never take away that historic thrashing. That will be part of SB lore for the rest of my life. Getting a championship this year will be the cherry on top.

Is Everything
Oddly I stopped buying Hawks gear. I don't own a single SB champ piece of anything. That's probably my biggest change. I averaged two things a month. I haven't bought anything. It's weird.

Check that I did get the SI package.

I guess living in Seattle and seeing people that I would see on a daily basis not wear anything ever and now they wear something everyday has taken the fun out of it. For me at least. I still wear my old stuff. Just haven't bought anything new. I will buy a Malcolm Smith white SB jersey with patch on it as soon as I find one but other than that I'm not interested.

I wear some form of Hawks gear every day glowing in the fact that our Seattle Seahawks are THE SUPERBOWL CHAMPIONS!!

And I'll continue to do that right up until early February next year.

I now buy pants with three legs. If they win again next year I will look like Squidward from Spongebob squarpants. You asked.

People that know me, and my 38 year obsession for this team, want to celebrate with me.

They want to know how many times I've seen the game, when I thought it was in hand, and on and on

Usually all of that talk is preceded by a big hug or clap on the back.

I always wear Seahawks stuff during the year and used to stand out around this time, as sports transitions
to baseball or basketball intensifies. Now I don't stand out and I get a lot of "Go Hawks" thrown my way
while I am minding my own business.

The euphoria, looking back, began to wane after the Monday following our victory.

Now over a month later, it's gone. Not the taste of victory mind you and the fact we are Super Bowl Champs, that'll never go away...of course...but I no longer....nm, It's done and in the books.

Now I can go through watching individual matchups per player. Which is really cool!

I can now watch the upcoming seasons easier, knowing that even if we lose we will always have won the Whiners at conference final and trashed the best ever offense in Superb Owl. It makes it easier to handle any losses.

Also, I can now die in peace :D

It used to be a goal of mine to be at the Super Bowl when the Seahawks won for the first time. I didn't make it. Now the goal has evolved to being at a Super Bowl one of the next times Seattle wins it.

The crazy looks I've gotten from people when saying "Seahawks dynasty" the last two years have finally stopped.

Biggest things that have changed for me are

1. I have no anxiety about the Hawks missing any Opportunities

2. I have ZFG (Zero Fu**ks Given) for anything the Niners or Harbaugh or their Fans say or do. :)

The older I got, the more I worried about how I'd react when we finally won.
Most people get lazy about sports in their 30s and 40s, they start selling tickets to more and more games,
worry about other stuff, have to deal with kids, then BOOM, they don't renew their tickets.

I'm glad the Hawks are a priority for both my wife and I.
Its good to be on the other side now and excited about free agency.

I was gonna make a joke about having a perpetual 24hr erection and no longer having a need for Viagra ... But TA verbally captures my affliction beautifully.

I also mentioned in another thread as having "A 3 foot woody with a cheeseburger on the tip"

All things pelvic !!! ... That would make a good retail outlet, Hmmmmm :hmmmm:

I don't mind any material that talks about the Super Bowl in historical perspective anymore. I used to turn the channel, but now... the Seahawks are like part of the fraternity now. They are PART of Super Bowl history after winning and have etched themselves into the Super Bowl history books..... kinda makes it easier to SEE Super Bowl history (with the exception of one game).
