By the football world in 2010 for the audacity that a 7 and 9 team would host a game against an 11 and 5 team.
The media were apoplectic that the system forced the Saints to play against a lowly upstart Seahawks team with a 7 and 9 record in their house.
The system must be changed they screamed. Unacceptable that an 11 and 5 team had to go on the road they screamed.
For a whole week all we heard was how wrong it was. A LOSING team would host a playoff game. Tens of thousands of words were written on the subject.
My how things and times have changed. Now we have a losing Tampa Bay team hosting a 12 and 5 team.
What do you hear from the media.... crickets. Why??? Because TB has TB.
Now it is suddenly acceptable. Losing record hosting a team with a better record, no problem.
The hypocrisy of the Media is stunning in every facets of life.
