I wonder if there was a bounty on Harvin's head today?

He got hit helmet to helmet once (luckily it glanced and most of the contact was with the shoulder), and it was flagged for 15, as it should have been. That was the right call and was definitely unnecessary roughness. The play he went out of the game for the second and final time on was just kind of flukey, and definitely wasn't a head shot, IMO.

Don't know if it was migraines or he just shouldn't have come back from that first hit (he was back verrrrry quickly, as some reporters have already noted) but him getting knocked out for good on that second one was pretty surprising, IMO.
They sent him to the locker room for eval after the first hit. He didn't just pop back into the game after a couple of plays off.

Saints were dirty. Payton is just under Harbaugh as biggest douche bag coach in the league.

Definitely looked like they were headhunting Harvin.

Baseless, classless organization. They're just dirty.

They might have stopped the bounty program, but deliberately trying to injur players as part of their game strategy is still their MO. People like that don't have a change of heart because they get their wrist slapped. They just find another way to do it. It would not surprise me the least if players and coaches were discussing how they want to take Percy out of the game.

Bush is a hard nosed football player who hits hard and makes impact plays every game. That hit deserved a penalty but it was just a product of of a guy going all out.

Every time a Saints player makes a hard hit the opponents fans start with the Bounty remarks. Quit being sheep. If you look at what people who aren't paid by the league, that really investigated that whole travesty have to say it you might come to a different conclusion.

But you won't. That would take an effort and it's easier just to be haters.

Good luck going forward. (You guys need to come our house some time.)

I love how people like Boutte have to generalize that anyone who holds an opinion different than their own must be sheep or some other lesser form of human. Bush could've easily wrapped up harvin on that hit but instead he put as much hurt into it as possible. Part of that is just football, I get it. But consider (1) this is the team that had the bounty program and the meetings about how to injur opposing players (2) harvin is widely recognized as a huge threat and (3) harvin took not one, but TWO vicious hits to the head and got knocked out of the game and it's hard not to think that where there is smoke there is fire.

It wasn't just Harvin, Tate and Lynch took big hits more than once, so I say yes they had a bounty. Now proving it is the hard part.

Why else would coaches be congratulating him after a personal foul?

It's hard to admit your team is filled with dirty coaches and players... gotta call a spade a spade though.

Oh, the whoopins we've put on your aging 'aints are venue independent. Any time, any place, outcome = same.

Have a nice off-season.

It would be hard for this to not cross our minds... the coach was suspended for a year, and some of the hits were uncalled for. Just hope Harvin is back next week. There was a moment there where the Saints had an "OH $hit moment" because of Harvin.... the next play Lynch ran for a long TD.

It was not isolated. What about the the twisting of baldwins head enough to rip off his helmet? IMO a dirty team.

None of us here mind good hard hitting, we do it, we mind hard hitting at someones head or intentionally trying to take knees out and cheap spears to the backs of players.
