Having been super busy with work lately, I have to admit I really need to dig in on what we have going on before developing my own opinion.

But, after perusing the responses from y'all, I am happy.

Very happy. The previous two years Seattle loaded up on projects. This year they loaded up on playmakers.

I don't understand the Clark thing at all. Is he supposed to be an inside rusher?

I think between our offense and defense, our single biggest weakness is our inability to make teams pay for blitzing us using press coverage on the outside, and I don't think we improved in that area. By taking Lockett over receivers more built to play outside, we essentially just put a ton of eggs in the baskets of Kearse and Matthews. I like Lockett a lot, but I see him exclusively as a slot receiver at this level. Would love to see him make a big difference in the return game. How awesome would a handful of big plays in close games be for us?

My two favorite picks are Glowinski and Smith. I think Smith has a very outside shot of cracking the lineup at some point this season. I don't think we drafted any starters, except at returner.

Happy? You know I don't get too happy. I'm not terribly discouraged. I think a go-route specialist on the outside would make us practically unstoppable, but I've thought that for some time, and evidently that sentiment is not shared by our front office. Here's to hoping Russell's dancing shoes still fit.

Clark is a LEO. He's penciled in to backup Avril. But I think they plan on plugging him wherever they need him as well.

According to the presser, Lockett was gone 2 picks after the one we bumped up to. I shall try to post the presser link in a while when it is on .com.

GO HAWKS.

Maybe even one pick. I read that the Texans would have taken Lockett, but after we jumped RIGHT in front of them, they had to "settle" for Jaelen Strong. Couldn't find a credible link for that though, and I'm not going to link the Reddit comments page where I saw that!
If you Google "tyler lockett texans" it does appear they were very high on him.

I'm a little hesitant when someone actually likes our draft... It makes me think we missed something. My feelings aren't based in reality or backed by any sort of facts, but it frightens me when people (especially media) likes our draft. I get visions of Aaron Curry in my head when that happens.

With that said, I'm ALWAYS high on the Seahawks drafts—even when we drafted Curry, because, well, I don't know any of these guys personally, I can only go off highlight films and combine times. It's all a waste to me to get upset over it... we won't really know how good this draft is for 3 years anyway.

TL;DR All these guys are Seahawks now, of course I'm happy with the draft, now we wait 3 years to see if anyone is good.

Texans got jumped twice lol. Likely would have taken Lock and MG3 bet their FO was rather annoyed.
