Awesome, and I admire Irvin for saying it, tells me he loves it here.

BUT, just like we saw with Tate who said the same sort of things after we won the SB...........if another team comes along and blows Irvin away with a 7-9M a year deal? He's gone.

With so much already invested at linebacker, I think he's gone to his hometown and Dan Quinn in ATL.

Yeah this. Wags and Wright make lots of cash and weakside LB is actually a pretty easy position to fill and it is less impactful than the other two spots as it is also the one that comes out in nickel formations.

Awesome. I think Maxwell is realizing he made a mistake in taking the money and running. Not like they aren't making bank either way, might as well play for a winner.

I could see him coming back, but it will really depend on the money involved.

He is older for a 2nd deal so will need to adjust his expectations. He is a good situational pass rusher and above average in coverage. For him to stay the price will need to be right. I'd like to see him kept.

Great news that Irvin is willing to take less to be here. It's a business so I understand at times you have to take the bigger money but a lot of respect for an athlete who is willing to look beyond just the money. If he's at face value here, I gained further respect for the man, we'll see how the contract plays out, maybe the numbers just blow him away on fa and he has no choice but to move on but if he lets the hawks stay in it till the bitter end it'll say something and even better if he stays put.
