I never understood why people are so lackluster about preseason games. I mean, I get it... they don't mean much at all but I actually really enjoy seeing the rookies and non-starters. I like to see how deep our depth really is. Anyway... Go Hawks!!!

I loved our 2012 preseason... the one where Matt Flynn had the job to lose, and Pete Carroll had the balls to give Russell the start in week three.

Pretty crazy how that whole thing turned out. I don't think a lot of people expected that. But yeah, this is where a lot of guys are trying to fight for their spot. I actually really enjoy these games.

Right.. when I say it's like near-beer, that's mainly because when I lived in southern Oregon I'd travel north for a game a couple times a year. So if I was making the trip, it wouldn't be for a preseason game.

Now... living in San Diego, it's a real treat to see my beloved Seahawks in a preseason game less than an hour from my house! Can't wait for the 29th!

Personally, I love the pre-season, but for completely different reasons than I do the regular season.

For me, the regular season is all about winning. Nothing really matters more than winning in the regular season, but in the preseason, every play can be dissected into each individual player performance, and so many of these young guys are so raw right now, and it's fun to watch the transformation over time from these raw talents into full time NFL players.

Its football. I've watched a handful of M's games and the NBA playoffs since last season. I need a relief from the Netflix and HBO series. Tomorrow cant come soon enough.

Pre-Season is my warm up to the season too. Re-figuring out pee schedules to the new production formats. Drinking the right amount and making sure all responsibilities are taken care of before the game. Got to practice that so you dont screw it up during the regular season.
