Double standards? When players drink and are high ... Godell brings down the hammer.
And when owners drink and are high and break laws ... what will Godell and his co-owners do?

A LOT of players and the union will be watching how Goodell handles this with great interest. I heard on the Eastcoastbiased Sports Programming Network yesterday that he will get hit very hard for this if and when he's found guilty/pleads guilty and it won't be just money. Brandon Browner thinks that ought to be the case. So do I.

I think it should cost Irsay big time, not just cash, but draft picks.

50 million and a couple of first rounders, say... would sober him up pretty quickly IMO.

And serve to "protect the shield" and all that...
