We have made 2 SB's in a row and Thomas was on the losing end of one of them. Who needs him?

There are thousands of players that haven't made the SB in the past 2 years, doesn't mean a thing.

Wow if he gets $10 mil a year I'm glad we didn't bite. That is a little too much, I love him for under $8 mil but would could add 2 very good players for $10 mil a year. Maybe Andre Johnson and Jordan Cameron.

Anyone else recently get the bleacher report(cue the it's bleacher report posts) notification saying the Hawks might make a late push for him? Not sure what to think.

Cut them all. If you have been on a team that lost the Super Bowl, you are a worthless player.

Time to start over.

For those concerned about his blocking ability:

http://sea.scout.com/story/1525188-free ... tive?s=114

“The perception is that Thomas is a terrible blocker and, frankly, he was, “earning a -11.5 grade from ProFootballFocus in run blocking in 2013, second to last among all tight ends. He made significant improvement in this area last season, registering a 0.1 grade that ranked just behind some guy named Rob Gronkowksi (0.3). Like Gronkowksi, Thomas has the athleticism, size and mitts to be the featured target in a ball-control offense.”

So basically, he was poor at blocking in his first season as a starter before showing major improvement in year two. He's about as good at blocking as the Gronk. While scoring 24 touchdowns in two seasons.

Yeah.

Good, the longer this goes that tells us the better chance we have to swoop in and grab him.

Come on team Schneider....GoGoGo...

NO, NO, NO! This guy won't play a game with as little as a hangnail and you want the Seahawks to sign him? He's had concussions and disappears against good competition. No thank you.

Julius Thomas hasn't had a concussion, that's Jordan Cameron. As for not playing well vs good opponents:

Ravens -- 110 yards, 2 touchdowns
Colts -- 104 yards, 3 touchdowns
Cards -- 66 yards, 2 touchdowns
Cowboys -- 122 yards, 2 touchdowns
Chargers -- 96 yards, 1 touchdown

Some decent opponents there. Also had a touchdown in Seattle in 2014 and 85 yards vs New England in the AFCCG.

Huh??

That might be something you need to cite or back up with something resembling objective evidence.

Get this done Seahawks. Russell Wilson needs an elite 6'5 WR/TE target to max out his potential.

This will set up the off-season. We're crying out for a weapon like this. Also frees you up to go in multiple directions early in the draft.

Absolutely agreed - to the point where I would be willing to overpay (a little) to bring Thomas in for the next 4-5 years of the prime of his career. This one move would set everything up for a successfule offseason perfectly

I'd go to $9m APY.

Gronk is on $9m, Graham on $10m. That's the going rate.

If you think about the kind of money the Seahawks gave Zach Miller when he was a FA, giving Julius Thomas 9M APY is not a bad investment. I would pull the trigger, Mr Softy or not. Just don't lead him on a slant for the winning TD from the 1/2 yd line.

Too soon? I'll see myself out.
