Barreling is use to describe a RB entering the endzone, we hear this fraze on a weekly basis.

But, can a TE "barrel"or a WR ? What about QBs, do they barrel too ? Do teams coach barreling ?

Whats your take on this subject ?

Maybe after lunch I'll give this Barreling a shot.

Barrelling has a few connotations behind it. Being out of control, having a lot of force, not changing direction very much, hitting with a large impact. Most of those aren't that applicable to modern NFL RBs who are 99.99th percentile athletes. I suspect it's mainly a terminology holdover from RBs like Eddie George and Jerome Bettis in previous decades.

I'd say that K9 is a Barreler.

I'm getting a little off topic here, but I want to see what you guys think of this. Has our defense been "stonewalling" other teams ? How do they do this ? Is this a short yardage thing or can they do this on any play. Is "stonewalling" possible on passing plays. Tell me what you think about "stonewalling"

Cheers
