In fairness, you never said lame. You said "slimy" and "shameless" which, to me, are reasonably harsh words. So what if he is taking advantage of the stage and doing a little promoting? Is that new? Technically Wilson is promoting every time he says "Go Hawks!" Is that slimy?

I'm not a beer drinker, but millions of people drink it and the fact that he is at least a partial owner of a few distributorships of the beer says he probably is one of those millions.

Paid or not, he'll profit from it as it's being reported he owns (at least some of) some distributors. Why not get a little plug for yourself, especially if you can get not only that moment, but also people to talk about it after the fact.

OMG Pmedic,

I believe most (not all) .NET hawk fans here are to young to know what "Beer" beer was. In the late 70's as a broke kid, that was all we could afford, if I remember it was like $1.50 or less a six pack.
That stuff made Bud really seem like "the king of beers". Really, really bad stuff, made you hate yourself the next morning, even if you didn't have a hangover.,

We used to buy 3-4 cases and head up to the woods for a weekend of fun, but the best part was when all the "Beer" beer was gone.....

Thanks for reminding me of that piss water! Next time you buy a 6pack of a craft beer, stop and thank God it wasn't "Beer" beer.

Just outside of Colorado Springs is a Budweiser Processing plant, where they brew bud. I have been there. So he could possibly own a portion of that plant with New Belgium Brewing which I believe owns Budweiser....or it is a company in Belgium that owns is as of 4 years or so ago.
