Sounds like the #Seahawks and Isaiah Crowell may be close to getting something done. Not confirmed yet. Makes sense though.

Arrrrgh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Q Jeff was one of my "must have" guys.

@Jason_OTC
Teams with the most projected cap space in 2020

1 Colts- $91.8M
2 Dolphins- $91.4M
3 Bills- $81.8M
4 Bucs- $81.5M
5 Cowboys- $79.5M
6 Broncos- $62M
7 Giants- $61.9M
8 Titans- $54.5M
9 Seahawks- $57.9M
10 Raiders- $53.3M

Of the 10 teams on that list Seattle has been, by FAR, outspent by the other 9, among others. We've not only not gained much in the way of significance, we LOST some good players we've been depending on.
Are we depending on having such a stellar draft class we can continue to compete at the top? SF made a trade to pick up Rd1 pick #13. Like they needed that.

Someone PLEASE let me in on our master plan is that's gonna work.

Good deal we get Irvin back. Here's some more to chew on:
https://www.espn.com/nfl/team/_/name/se ... e-seahawks

"Brady Henderson
ESPN
Some Seahawks housekeeping notes as we near the official start of free agency: Seattle has tendered WR Malik Turner, OL Jordan Roos, DT Bryan Mone and DB Ryan Neal as exclusive rights free agents. That effectively puts those players under contract for 2020 at the minimum salary. TE Tyrone Swoopes was not tendered, according to a source. The tenders the Seahawks gave to DE Branden Jackson and C Joey Hunt as restricted free agents were the low/original-round tenders worth $2.133 million."

I see, like me, lots of the natives here are restless due to the lack of quality additions during the initial rush of FA activity.
RB Gurley has agreed with Falcons. Not that we had any serious interest, but that's another big name off the board.
One interesting note is this:
https://nfltraderumors.co/seahawks-card ... -j-walker/
Seems we are showing interest in QB PJ Walker of the XFL. I know we've discussed his play here on the board, and wondered if he has NFL ability. Apparently the Seahawks share that interest, along with a couple other teams.

Here's a tidbit detailing our current activity status: https://nfltraderumors.co/nfc-notes-pac ... vikings-3/
It talks about Clowney, Finney contract, TT, and Simmons.

Big news on the draft.
https://www.nbcsports.com/boston/patrio ... oronavirus

" According to a recent report from Sam Farmer of the Los Angeles Times, the NFL Draft from April 23-25 in Las Vegas has been canceled and the league is weighing its options moving forward.

While the event still will take place next month, the current plan will be to move forward with a studio setting in which there will be cut-ins from team headquarters of the team making a selection at any given time, according to Farmer. "

This is more what I expected, cut ins highlights and then calls to players listened to over phones.

It'll be interesting to see if teams' draft rooms are observing social distancing. Also, it'll be telling to see the homes of the players...how they usually have dozens of people waiting for the call...all crowded on the couch.

I'll make a prediction: the player drafted that has the fewest people at their draft party, will be the best pick in Seahawk's draft. Smart, healthy, physically prepared for camp....

 Good post chrispy! Shows healthy cognisense. Somehow I expect the urgency of the moment will prevail with big private draft parties to share the thrill of victory and the agony of disappointing results. But it will be interesting to see if your prediction works out. It's pretty clear we're depending on getting some good help in the draft.

I've been spending a of of time with my ear on the rumor rumblings. But there are so many people at home with nothing to do too many use that time for negative impact pursuits through fake accounts for posting lies etc. Hard to trust what you see and hear. Our team site doesn't post anything that isn't signed, sealed, and the ink dried for at least 24 hours, so here we sit, with no bait, watching the minnows and a few biggees left swimming around in the FA talent pool aquarium. Seems like it's a contest to see if our frustration grows faster than those minnows.

We've had some discussion regarding interest in XFL QB PJ Walker coming in to compete as Russ backup, but this showed up this morning:

R.J. White

Panthers add XFL star P.J. Walker to compete for the backup spot at QB. I singled them out as a landing spot that makes sense back on March 14, exactly three years ago today

I read earlier today the Ravens expensive deal for DE Brocking fell through. Hope that doesn't result in them becoming a bidding candidate for Clowney. They have spent a bunch in FA but the Brocking deal was a 31M chunk of that.
