Honestly, Kikuchi has been very underwhelming thus
far. I thought his hype was a little overrated.
All I will say is that he has pitched well enough to have won at least two of his outings. He's still transitioning from the Japanese league. Yeah, he' hasn't shown superstar form, but he's got decent stuff.

Slow starter, though, that's for sure.

Yeah, that's a good point about the transition. I feel like it took Hisashi time to transition as well. But regarding his slow starts, I'm getting an early feeling that he'll end up being the Kyle Seager of pitchers. I really, really hope I'm wrong.

Its some real pig slop for sure. Giving away winnable games. I really dont think Servais is up to the task. Dipoto is a keeper. We are gonna lose 10 games in a row.

I believe it. This team is trash. Forget what they did to get to 13-2. Forget the home run streak. Even with somewhat decent pitching lately, the whole lineup, 1-9, has looked like a bunch of Taylor Motters and Mike Zuninos these last 6 games. This homestand was pathetic.

Yeah, that definitely sucked.

Swanson was pretty good, though. Quality start, only gave up one run. Not his fault they're swinging nerf bats. :34853_doh:

I don't care how good the pitchers they're facing are, they are ice cold at the plate.

ICE COLD!!! Went from crushing pretty much everything and solid contact, to absolutely nothing. Over 30 K’s vs the stupid Astros, to being goose egged by Cleveland. Pretty incredible to go this ice cold. I don’t understand it.

Everyone all of the sudden forgot to hit WTF, LOL.
They are starting to get boring real fast.

Things I've learned over the past 6 days

>astros and indians have starting pitching, M's don't, , though Swanson in his debut located his pitches very nicely today
>Servais isn't at Francona's or Hinch's level yet
>13-8 is still a pretty good start

So, how long before they reach the cliff?

Apparently about 6 days ago.

Just bizarre to see a team go from red hot to ice cold at the flip of a switch.

I'm not that surprised the team went from hot to cold. This is MLB, it happens to the best teams. But the pace we were on wasn't sustainable. We were setting records for a team that is rebuilding. We aren't as good as the 13-2 start, but we aren't as bad since this losing streak. We are probably somewhere in the middle, but closer to the latter. On a positive note, Swanson looked really good last night, which is the goal for this team. Young guys do well.

Felix had a good night tonight. Now Alaniz is doing his best to give it away. :34853_doh:

I feel as though the bullpen tried really hard to lose and came-up short. That's a fail at failing.

Pulled it off, but that should have been a W for Felix, not Swarzac. :34853_doh:

Give Elias a save, and an ND to everyone else. There should not be a win awarded for that joke of a bullpen.

There is a couple guys in that BP that still need to go..
It is not everyone that stinks..
The offense finally woke up..A win is still a win.
