Julio Rodriguez since being called up to A Advanced Modesto. 10 games, 7 multi hit games, batting .553. 2 of his 3 non multi hit games he only had 1 AB.
Yeah they have some kids lighting it up now.

Kelenic had a 2 homer game the other day. Most of the “talent” is playing together @ AA, Julio Rodriguez is one of the few exceptions.

If you don’t go there already Prospect Insider is a good place to see how the kids on the farm are doing. It’s usually updated daily.

That kid is going to be a flat stud in about 4 years. He's still just 19. He and Kelenic are the best hopes this franchise has at turning it around in a few years.

Could he be our next Franchise player? Why keep him down?
You see the Braves bringing up young guys..Sign them to a long deal
and let em play.

He is still in A ball. The worst thing you can do is bring him up now, have him struggle, and kill his confidence.
Even HOF’s like Jr, and Edgar spent years in the minors.

The ideal thing to do if he keeps raking is to bring him up after the current AA studs as a group make it to the bigs.

He's gonna go play fall ball in Peoria with Kelenic as well after the season. I would imagine he has a good chance to start next season in Arkansas with an outside shot at going straight to Tacoma.

Either way I want to get to a bunch of Tacoma games next season to see Kelenic and a few other young guys play.

That’s the first I heard of that. Where did you hear that? Wonder if they have a plan to fast track some guys?

Conventional thinking says that but there are players that
defy it..
Jr was in the minors for one season if I recall as he was still 18
when he played his first game in the bigs right?
All I'm saying is if we have any elite players they are going to
rake at any level as we have seen in M's history.
A-Roid,Felix and Griffey..

Sure, but why? Everybody knows we're not going to the playoffs this year, and probably next. No reason to risk accelerating their careers now. For a more recent example, just look at Zunino. He was called up on the fast track, thinking we had a shot at the playoffs. Instead, he spent years yoyoing up and down from Tacoma trying to get his swing in shape. Luckily, we got some trade value for him. He's coming along, but it's been what 4 or 5 years getting right?

We're all excited about the young talent we picked up this year, but I have to come down on the 'be patient, do it right' side of the argument.

Sheffield starts against the Cubbies. Leaves after 5 complete with a shutout, possible win.

Braden Bishop starting in LF, made a nice running catch to save a double and end an inning.

Was at this game and saw more Mariner fans than I
expected as there was plenty..
JS looked pretty good in this one and it was tight until the 7th.
Had fun but gotta say it will likely be my last Wrigley visit.
The area is just horrible to get to and leave.
Parking was $40.00..It used to be you could park in the
neighborhood a few blocks away easily but time changes
things.
I'll still go to games but to the White Sox park which has it's
own free parking and sits off the expressway..
It is also cheaper in a lot of ways compared to Cubs..
So next July ..M's/Sox it is..
Good game but I'm tired :2thumbs:

....and one of the guys we got for him lit it up in the minors (Kelenic). Moved up 3 levels this season (A, A+, AA) and he’s only 20. As long as he’s healthy and progresses along the same lines he should be in AAA or the bigs by September 2020.

Closers are a dime a dozen.
If a guy throws a lot of innings the year before, he usually has a subpar year the next year.
Diaz’s problem is he only has 2 pitches. If he isn't getting one of them over the hitters will “sit” on the other.

The M’s got maximum value out of him IMHO if Kelenic stays healthy and is as advertised.

They didn’t get maximum value out of the Paxton trade IMHO, should have gotten more for a power lefty.

Yep. The talent disparity is large and obvious.
