Thank goodness we have 2 FBs on the roster. Couldn't have used any of those guys.
I actually laughed at this. Lynch doesn't really trust either of them as a blocker as well. It's really kind of absurd.

He seemed to develop a nice groove with Will Tukuafu. I just don't trust Bevell to use a FB more than 10 times in a game.

Well you're right. That's the other part of it. We're going to be in 2 TE sets a lot this year. I really just don't get it.

I can't believe we let Martin out there. Not sure we why kept Terrell (limited upside) when we planned to trade for a backup free safety anyway.

Terrell is awful . . . much less innate ability evident there than either Martin or Lambert.

Terrell is kind of Mr. Missed Tackle. He's also the idiot that couldn't track the ball in that 3rd and 20 prayer last year against Dallas that basically won them the game. Again, ok he's fast....so what.

Agreed. Really bummed about this one.

As soon as Kam returns and counts against the 53 again, Terrell is gone. That's why they acquired McCray.

McGill, Martin, and Lambert . . .

But no Kevin Smith or Kasen Williams . . . yay for that.

There's a reason for that.

Husky fans would never overvalue former players .. Never! :sarcasm_on:

Yeah I don't know why they let Lambert or Martin go over Terrell.

Ditto keeping King over McGill

You didn't think Kevin Smith and Kasen Williams looked good? I certainly did, but I'm a Husky fan. I don't think there is a lot of faith around the league in our WR corps, unlike our defensive line and DBs. The players at those position groups are more likely to appeal to teams.

I feel King over McGill was one of the weirder decisions of this off-season.

Martin and Lambert have a lot of raw talented that went underutilized this preseason.

I agree with your 2nd line.

So we only know of 2 right? Who are the others?

I'm not sure, but the only options are Ryan Murphy (who looked bad, IMO), Douglas McNeil (who looked good at both CB and WR), and Mohammed Seisay (who was waived injured).

Is it possible he is referring to former Seahawks DBs from previous seasons?

Could have swore Seisay was IR'd with Turbin. Not sure though. We hear a report and then something else actually happens.

Position coaches have a big say in the players they keep, correct? From where I sit, I don't see how they keep Terrell and even Burley over other options. But, the coaches know more than I do. I think I see things like Martin's aggressive approach to the game and want that. But, maybe what they know and what I don't is the difference between me being pleased with wins vs. dejected on Sundays. It also has to do with how backup players fit into the scheme of things.

That has got to be a misprint. He probably should have said 4 Seahawk defenders.

I should have verified.
