As things stand:
Cardinals 8-2
Seahawks 5-5
Rams 4-6
49ers 3-7
The Lines:
Arizona favored by 10 over the 49ers
Seattle favored by 4 over the Steelers
Bengals favored by 9 over the Rams
The Cardinals will face the 49ers at Levi's stadium where they have played much better this season as is evidenced by their 3 wins. Gabbert has surely been an upgrade over Kap but they just don't have the coaching or the talent right now to pull off an upset this week. I think Arizona wins this one by 13 points along the lines of 30-17. Really not a lot to say other than it's a really bad team going up against the best offense in Arizona's history that put Kurt Warners numbers to shame. Complete opposite teams and trends. It's very possible Arizona is resting a lot of injured players this week otherwise the score could be worse.
The Seahawks will be hosting the Steelers this week in what is a must win game for Seattle, while also looking to get over .500 for the first time this year. Seattle will be without Lynch but Rawls has proven to be more effective in his limited time this year. Will that continue? It's hard to tell. 7 Career starts in college and 2-3 in the NFL is a very small sample size. Seattle still hasn't been able to beat a good team this year and the Steelers are a good team. I think it's going to be a great matchup and a pretty even one. Although I think the Steelers take this one because they seem to be the more well balanced team overall.
The Rams 3 weeks ago were 4-3. Now they are 4-6 and facing a very good Bengals team that is clearly going to outmatch them on both sides of the ball. The Rams don't have anything left to play for at 4-6 because they aren't a team that is capable of finishing a season 6-0 which is what they need. Fisher doesnt run the most disciplined teams per say. The Rams have a horrible offense as it is and they are going up a very good Bengals defense who is the #1 scoring defense in the league. The Bengals are just as good on the other side of the ball. In addition, the Rams don't win games outside of the division. Oh and they are playing on the road. They drop their 4th straight game this week.
