Not really, past history is past history. Whether it happened in February of 2014 or in 1982. It just so happens that history is tended to be celebrated if it is a significant event. While a super bowl win in February 2014 is a very memorable event, it pales into significance to events like D-Day, Pearl Harbor, 9-11, and *THE TIP* :thirishdrinkers: ;)

There now it's correct, fixed it for ya. :0190l:

Also, you really can't call a franchise doing a choke job if they've won the darn thing 5 times before they lost their first one.

You can call it a choke job for the last TWO decades without disrespecting the "5 rings," in fact, you can call it a choke job for the last twenty years and have total love and honor and admiration for the 5 times they've won the whole darn thing.

That is just fact.
I disagree. That's an opinion, *your* opinion. Not a fact. It's hard to call it a choke job if the team you are defining as chokers have won it before. Now Colin definitely has issues the he has to resolve, *passing* issues that Russell Wilson has long since mastered. No doubt about it that Wilson, at this point in time, is the better QB. Not only is that a fact, it's an uncomfortable fact for me. :angry017:

All joking aside The Tip will be much remembered just as the Catch going forward if we can maintain our high level of play and garner at least one more Super Bowl or maybe two. With all the winning the two teams have done nobody really remembers anything unless you win it all or have a dynasty. Sad really because during a team's existence there are many events that should be celebrated even if you don't happen to win it all.

So I understand you, because Joe Montana was an excellent QB Kaepernick can't possibly choke? Or the team that choked away the last three years can't be because of choking because you won a super bowl in 1982?

Your logic is not sound. Your team has zero super bowls. Understand that. Your team has zero super bowls.

Now previous regimes with different owners, players, management, coaches and likely 90+ percent of your fan base have won super bowls. A lifetime ago your franchise was one of the proudest dynasties the league had ever seen but that gives you zero credibility to the team that is on the field today. Get out of here thinking you are some kind of royalty that has winning bred in. There is a much better argument for inbreeding in your fan base than not.

You are obviously but hurt that we don't credit your current team for the history of your franchise but there is a reason for that. They don't deserve to be. You denialzoners are over their talking about royalty and using words like Regal to describe your team and fans. It is pathetic and you should be embarrassed. This isn't a dog show. Your current regime, fans, players, coaches, owners, water boys and even the judges that keep your players out of jail when they are acting the Niner way are all different. Your current team hasn't done shit. Wait, they have choked away three years of good football. Something Montana never did.

You should go back to your denialzone where a cheater is defined as a team that beats you instead of a team that loses draft picks for shit like well you know, CHEATING. Go back and bask in the glow of your convicted felon and sleaze ball Eddie D. A guy known for bribery and cheating and was trying to buy a damn river boat casino. No, nothing behind this curtain. The same guy who tried to con the entire bay area into a stadium that paid him 30 million dollars to build and he got 30% of the profit from the mall they were going to attach to it. Wait a minute. Why were they going to attach a mall to a football stadium? And why would Eddie D get 30 million and 30% of the profit just for closing the deal? You should also ask why they were counting dead peoples votes to pass the stadium.

Get out of here with your history. It is meaningless to the team that is the CURRENT super bowl champions. Not past, CURRENT. Trying to diminish our CURRENT championship by placing it in the past like yours when we are still the same regime, ownership, FO, Coaching staff, fans and essentially the same players is beyond potato. It screams but hurt. Go lick your wounds somewhere else. There is a place where you can get your brethren to lick them with you. You know where it is. It's were you talk non stop shit about our CURRENT super ring.

Damn! Rich pulled no punches!!! My real question is how will 49er Nation react when we win in Santa Clara while nearly completing our Anti-Buffalo 4-Pete? It's times like these that I almost wish we were still in the AFC West.

Well, I figure Rich has covered everything in responding to the DenialNiner's reference to royalty and how it applies to the current era. Several regimes have passed since the glory days of the Niner. And glory days they were. But they have truly passed.

And nobody has mentioned a Head Coach who motivates by dropping his pants in the locker room yet.

I think you need to look up the word debate and the compare / contrast to what gets said on that cesspit of filth and detritus you call webzone.

I'm pretty active on webzone, probably more so than here just because I must have some kind of joy in getting into debates. Where as here, I use mainly to learn news as well as promote anything cool I find regarding the Seahawks. For the most part I'm accepted there provided I act the way I hope a Niner fan would act on here. For those who decide to go over there that aren't trying to troll, my biggest recommendation is just take note of specific users who will try everything they can to get a rise out of you *hint* Y2R *hint* ignore or never respond to that user's specific posts and then you can actually get into some decent debate/conversation.

There is no debating on the DenialZone. Pointless. Finding a rational post on that site is most difficult. I know they exist, but for the years that I have been reading their garbage I have found nothing worth debating with them. As a community the place is on crack.

Young2Rice seriously went insane following the NFCCG and subsequent Super Bowl. I mean that in the most literal sense possible, and the 49ers DenialZone mods just let him go off swearing and threatening people and saying some really truly horrible stuff that would have earned anybody here a lifetime ban several times over.

It really was pathetic.

Oh lordy, another one of those "I am going to kick your ass from behind my computer screen!" guys.

For some reason I am thinking of that movie with Patton Oswalt being the pathetic die-hard NY Giants fan ranting at Eagles fans all the time and living with his mother. -- what a depressing little film. It came at the time that Mora was coach of the hawks, so maybe that led to the atmosphere of football gloom, lol!
I envision about 90% of the denialzoneninatrolls there to be "keyboard tough guys" living out of mamas basement.

I find many of them to be reasonable fans and worth discussing football with.

That said, I have no idea why the mods have tolerance for some of the things that are said - I've never seen anything like it on any other board. But, it seems to be a small percent.

Even Y2R can admit when he is wrong - I called him out on something recently and his response: No idea what I meant, i was zoning.

I think he just says outrageous things that no one else would, so they let him. Not sure. You can just skip him, and there are interesting things posted.

Who are you, and what'd you do with RedAlice?

Also, defending Young2Rice? SMH.

You've lost your touch.

Maybe you too are zoning.
