I guess we just disagree on the tape then...and that's fine. I watched all games they had of him on draftbreakdown and came away with a different opinion. From what I saw, if they singled up on him he won every time just about. Teams had to double him or their entire game was wrecked. Seems he is a polarizing player though, tons of varying opinions.

That's just my opinion for now until I see something that changes my mind.

My guess is the he goes mid to late 2nd round.

That would not surprise me one bit. My thought however is that it would be due to serious character flags.

Who are the players that Seattle could take at #26 and you would feel satisfied with the value of the pick?

For me (in no particular order):

Leonard Floyd (I get Cliff Avril vibes from him)
Emmanuel Ogbah (closest thing to JPP since JPP. I don't think Seattle is interested though)
Darron Lee (he's a little over-rated, but Pete could polish him into another Bobby Wagner)
Jack Conklin (Growing on me the more I watch)
Ryan Kelly (a little bit of a reach, but considering the dropoff to the next best "athletic" center...)
Germain Ifedi (I'm really digging the Kelechi Osemele comparisons. It's hard to argue with them)
Le'Raven Clark (I have a hunch he's much higher on draft boards than the media thinks)
Shon Coleman (I'm guessing he drops because of medical, but in terms of talent he's a 1st rounder)

...

Players I intentionally left off (who I think would be poor value at #26):

Sheldon Rankins (simply too rich for a guy that's probably the next Atybba Rubin or Sharrif Floyd)
Andrew Billings (He's good. But in four years you'll be able to sign him for half of what JR Sweezy makes)
Jonathan Bullard (kind of feels like the Bruce Irvin of DTs. One trick pony with lots of heart and athleticism)
Kevin Dodd (reminds me of Courtney Upshaw)
Shaq Lawson (good player, but I don't think he is athletic enough to star in the NFL at DE)
Cody Whitehair (I like him, but he feels like a big reach in round 1)
Derrick Henry (he's the incredible Hulk version of Robert Turbin. I don't think he'd mesh with Seattle's run blocking)
Jason Spriggs (great athlete but one who struggles with recovery and anchor. His tape reminds me of Justin Britt)

I like the list with the exception of Kelly and Coleman . Kelly imo is a lateral move I don't really see an upgrade over Lewis. Coleman just because of the medical. I'd like to see Ifedi or Billings at 26 I'd be fine with Conklin, Floyd and Ogbah.

I'd have to watch more tape, but I'm getting kinda bullish on Dodd. Not at 26, but could be a great candidate to trade down for. He's got that one attribute I really love, the ability to not get blocked. I know he isn't a flashy, SPARQY guy, so odds are about none that we take him, but he screams interior rushing specialist to me.

I get a trade down kind of vibe from this draft.
Unless there's a pass rush guy available that they covet, I think this is what's going to happen. I don't expect an o-lineman at #26.

It really depends who's there. I think they'll have a very high grade on Floyd and Bullard, but if both of them are gone then I think they'll try to move down. If forced to stay put they'll probably settle on Germain Ifedi or Jason Spriggs.

I hope Seattle is willing to move up in round 2. There is a really nice batch of 2nd round talent this year but it will likely dry up around pick 45 or so.

IMO, this is not a great year to stockpile picks. It's one of the thinnest, least athletic drafts I've seen in a while.

As an edge rusher, Dodd is comparable to Michael Bennett in the way that he keeps blockers out of his body. I don't think he has the explosiveness or timing to shoot gaps inside though.

Truth is, there isn't really a single pass rusher in this draft I'd pound the table for. It reminds me a lot of the pass rusher group in 2012, a mostly underwhelming and over-rated group where the most exciting guy (Irvin) came with a ton of question marks.

I have a sense the team is looking hard at the NT options available at 26 or after a small trade down., i.e.: best available player at position of relative need. Hell I could be surprised and watch the team draft a WR or RB (Doctson or Henry).

The concept the team is looking at OT options in the 2nd or later to me seems more likely based upon the broad jump observations.

There seems to be a very large glut of pro day wonders in the late day 3 range. If you're looking at development types -- the combine participants doesn't have a lot to offer. But there seems like a good 20+ great testing snubs from the combine that Seattle could hit home runs with. The best athletes really seem to be emerging in March. And that's accounting for pro day inflation of numbers.

If only Seattle was predisposed to wander off the beaten combine path late in drafts...

C Ryan Kelly- Might be gone. but would be a great value. Not sold on any of our C on roster.
T Jack Conklin Always liked Big Ten Tackles, msu had a great run game and passing game. Conklin was the leader of a good line also as a RT, if Gilliam owns his new role.
T Germain Ifedi like the explosion factor, listen a lot to Rob Staton, really like him as a possible RT if Gilliam turns out to be the LT was always looking for.
DE Emannuel Obgah very explosive, a Michael Bennett type DE a little lighter
DT Jaren Reed 3T good push up the middle
DT Kenny Clarke same reasoning as Jaron Reed.

I think the value of pass rushers really match to 3rd-4th round talent initially. Its up the coaching staff to make it work. I have a lot of players I woould like on roster to compete. God knows how Pete and John think of each player, I never know
