The first time the No. 1 defense faced the No. 1 offense, middle linebacker Bobby Wagner intercepted a Russell Wilson pass. That led to the second units taking the field, but that didn’t last long either, as defensive end Greg Scruggs intercepted a Terrelle Pryor pass that was tipped by defensive tackle Jordan Hill.

Great to hear about the defense coming out and being active and playing fast from the word go, especially good to hear about those young defensive linemen being active and healthy. Scruggs is finally back from his knee injury. And Hill was pretty limited last year with his bicep tear.

SS Kam Chancellor- not there (hip surgery)
OLB Malcolm Smith- there but did not practice (ankle surgery)
LT Russell Okung- there but did not practice (toe surgery)
QB Keith Price- there but did not practice (pulled groin)
Jesse Williams- there but did not practice (lacerated foot)
CB Tharold Simon- there but did not practice (foot issue)
LB Heath Farwell- didn’t participate in team drills but did run routes (knee)
WR Paul Richardson- didn’t participate in team drills but did run routes (shoulder bruise)
WR Sidney Rice- didn’t participate in team drills but did run routes (ACL surgery)

That's really not too bad at all for Stage III. Jackson, Avril, Lynch, Marsh, and Pulu are presumably all healthy.

Chancellor, Smith, and Okung have all had successful surgeries to take care of preexisting issues that they played through last season; all three are expected back by the start of camp, which is great news if true. Rice seems way ahead of his recovery if he's already running routes at OTAs. And Williams and Simon are expected back before the end of OTAs.

I keep reading about how Carp is doing great and looks good... passes the eye test... in best shape of his career.... But I can't find one pic of him that would confirm. It seems like this is one of the biggest stories of the offseason. The fact they didn't pick up his option made headlines but now no pic? If anyone finds one, could you post it here?

Also, there were tons of pics of Justin Britt in lots of places. The un-scientific conclusion would be that he's getting a lot of work. I'd love to get a feel from a pass-rusher to see how they interpret the options they're working against on the OL. ... so anyone that's looking for a topic to write on...
