Pretty sure I read Russell went a perfect 7/7 against the blitz in his last game, so... yeah?
It's the pressure with 4 men fronts that are the problem.
Can't blame Bevell if 5 men can't beat 4

Yeah he runs a great offense, all those sacks are on Wilson, all the non throws to Graham because the sun was in his eyes, all the 200 yd rushing games we could have had becasue our RB's are saving themselves for the playoffs, all the points left on the fieild because we wanted to motivate the defense and special teams to score more.
Isn't the O-line and Run game Tom Cable's department?
Seems to me that all of the above can be attributed more to failings on his part than that of Bevell.
Noticed any recent adjustments to punish edge blitzes recently? Thought not.
The OC is in charge of the scheme which never seems to change up much to adjust to the realities of the weak OLine play or the increasing number of blitzes RW is facing.
I agree however that Cable needs to 'own' some of grumbling over weak OLine play and at times totally ineffective run blocking.
Agreed, he has earned any and all criticism and more IMHO.GeekHawk":2qzww9sm said:None of the bevel-bashing on this site is needless...theENGLISHseahawk":2qzww9sm said:Another needless Bevell-bashing thread.

Imagine that poor corner as Tuku stares him down :shock:Scottemojo":2qq70cig said:And Bevell is excited to see if he can go 5 wide with his fullbacks all the damn time from now on.

Bevell didn't draft Justin Britt in the 2nd round.
You forgot to mention that this will happen on pretty much every third and one or two.Scottemojo":3qasmwg7 said:And Bevell is excited to see if he can go 5 wide with his fullbacks all the damn time from now on.

So the excited part is referencing getting the win. Immediately followed was a concession that the offense is poo.
Nah, there's only a few people who really don't understand the kind of game that the Hawks play that rail on our offensive coordinator. He's one of the best in the league, so we're all good. Just look to the last two years as proof.Hawks46":wuem49u2 said:Attyla the Hawk":wuem49u2 said:Just reviewed the presser. The full quote being:

Hey man, we don't need context. The torches and pitchforks are already out. What else are people going to do with them ?

Ridiculous garbage from the OP...way to conveniently leave out half the sentence and completely ignore the context of his statement. You hate bevell? Fine, just stop making crap up.Attyla the Hawk":32xd4ysn said:Just reviewed the presser. The full quote being:

Always appreciate your level-headedness Hawkfan. I want to ask you one other thing too. Yes, the ending of SB 49 left all of our heads spinning, but upon reflection, don't you think it gets lost in the shuffle of the Hawks even making it there in the first place? I think the appreciation gets downplayed too much and, hey, that's a great accomplishment! Our team was better than 30 other teams in the NFL! That's only happened 3 times in this franchise's history. I know it's not all bandwagon fans on here, but I just feel many posters display a sense of entitlement and expect instant gratification every game ... Hell, every play! It's competition and it's going to be a struggle. That's what makes it fun. Overcoming those struggles is what made the payoff of 49 so very enjoyable. But this breed of fan almost insists that the very essence of those struggles should be bypassed for an easier route from point A to B. I see that as very unrealistic. Thoughts?Hawkfan77":1m3ncv6c said:Ridiculous garbage from the OP...way to conveniently leave out half the sentence and completely ignore the context of his statement. You hate bevell? Man this board seems to hit a new low too often

I think this is the week he starts implementing things that will actually make the offense productive. The dominant Seahawks show up and the long winning streak started last week.
