Yes, because they were supposed to have nothing at QB. Geno being top 5 changes the equation drastically.

Any DC looking at this team will see if they can fix the defense they will be contenders.

Its all moot. Pete isn't retiring and even if they lose out, he's not getting fired. He'll remind Jody of the last draft and how they showed flashes this year and just ran out of steam. He'll convince her he's close to building something special. Not saying I agree or disagree. Simply stating that's what will happen. He's not going anywhere.
