I feel like they draft these kind of guys expecting practice squad. They already have six WRs. WRs are typically easy to stash unless they breakout in a major way during the preseason.

4.4 speed at 220 and 26 reps out of a WR is very intriguing

NFL's draft profile has nothing on him, except his name and college. No height, weight, hand size, etc. Kinda strange.

Pro Day Date: 03/08/17
Height: 6005
Weight: 219
40 Yrd Dash: 4.43
20 Yrd Dash: 2.53
10 Yrd Dash: 1.59
Bench Reps: 26
Vertical Jump: 36 1/2
Broad Jump: 10'04"
20 Yrd Shuttle: 4.38
3-Cone Drill: 6.98

Strong and fast. I like the pick. You know he'll be hungry and out to prove a lot of folks wrong too. Intriguing selection.

Faster, bigger, stronger then Kearse, also don't forget Tanner McEvoy showed some promise and he is 6'6 230, this kid almost his weight but 6'1 or so, add Amara Darboh and we have a collection of bigs that are gonna fight for a spot, throw in Jamel Johnson 6'2 225 and Rodney Smith 6'5 225 and Kasen Williams 6'1 219. That's in addition to our slot and just speed guys, Baldwin, Richardson, Lockett, Lawler and Grayson.

Intriguing workout numbers there. The best I can say is ... we'll see. Don't automatically dismiss small school guys. After all, I remember a certain former star QB for the Seahawks who starred for Milton College (Dave Krieg) ... and remember very well another former Hawks QB (who had a good career in this league) who started off on our practice squad and came from a small school in Central Washington University (John Kitna). Guys from small schools CAN seemingly come out of nowhere and make an impact. Only time will tell.

People said the same thing when Kevin Norwood was drafted, but Kearse keeps outlasting people's expectations. Keeps making big time catches and solid blocks, while continually improving his game. Only 367k is saved by cutting Kearse this year.

Fast, tall and good hands. Looking forward to seeing what he's got.
