I kind of sort of thought he was on a HOF trajectory like 3 years ago or so. But when his escapability/backyard play-making abilities started to wane, and his deficiencies as a quick thinking and processing pocket passer began to be exposed, I started to change my tune about where he ranked amongst the pantheon of QB's of his time. He just couldn't seem to evolve as a QB in the ways that he needed to to keep himself in such a discussion.
I probably rank Earl Thomas and Marshawn Lynch as more likely HOF candidates, though I'd have to think some more about that.
