Carroll couldn't figure out how to use Wilson as a QB.
You think he can use Jackson?
One could argue that maybe Carroll used Wilson perfectly to his talents. Just look at his stats as a Seahawk his first 6 years. One should really argue that Hackett doesn't know how to use Russell.

Just look at Geno's revitalization under Pete's tutelage. I think people discrediting the man are fooling themselves by believing things to fit a narrative rather than actual stats and outcomes.

After you take out the allocation for rookies and stuff, the Hawks only have about $30-35 million in cap space. And that's with 33 players under contract according to Sportrac.

Even if Jamal, Quandre, and Shelby Harris are cut, it's going to take some Saints-level future mortgaging to absorb the sort of cap hit of someone like Jackson--or even some of the numbers people are saying Geno should be offered.
