Oh, we are using our made-up sources.......

My sources indicated that the Seahawks attempted to add very good players with low salary cap numbers, to save cap space and win games.

I can buy that they have explored trade offers for Wilson in the past.

I very much doubt they talked to the Browns about swapping for the #1 overall pick in the 2018 draft. There was no obvious #1 QB replacement candidate that year, and if we were going to trade Wilson without a clear QB replacement then it would have only made sense in exchange for a bunch of mid 1st/2nd picks.

Would’ve believed it more if this was 2017 and Seattle was taking Mahomes (who they were linked to shortly after the draft).

Um... yes? Have you been paying attention to the world lately? Sports have kind of slowed down.

People get so uptight about rumors when it's something they don't agree with.

Actually I just got back, was doing a visit of Jupiter and heard there was a bit of a uprising back on Earth so teleported back to check out what all the hullaballoo was about....

I had assumed this was pretty common knowledge back in about March/April of 2018. I'm a little shocked that posters in here weren't already aware of this, even more shocking is the outrage some in here are expressing over a report of a potential trade that did not occur over two years ago.

I don't believe it. What would be the best outcome if they traded wilson? Getting someone who can do what Wilson already does. That's not happening.

You trade FOR guys like him, not trade him away.

Post one story from 2018 that said as much.

For the #1 overall pick in 2018? No way.

Well it's no secret the Seahawks had attempted to trade up to draft Mahomes so anything is possible.
