Eli straight up for Kam, and then we'd have a real QB :stirthepot:

They'd have to send Landon Collins back the Hawks way, otherwise NYG would be playing with two SS's.

Collins + some combo of Hankins/Odigi/ draft pick(s)

Don't trade Kam. He needs the AP treatment. Report or sit without pay for the entire year if that's what you choose to do.

Time to up the ante. Don't bend at all for this guy. This entire holdout has been the most ridiculous one I've ever seen in this sport.

Guys are getting their walking papers today and the No. 2 highest paid SS in the league wants to pout and abandon his teammates...

Kam is seen in an entirely different light now to so many.

Let him sit. The team keeps moving on. He can either not earn for the duration
of his contract and be a 30 year old , out of football for three years, safety...
Or he can come to his senses.

I don't see trade or cut as a realistic option. It's a game of chicken the Seahawks
simply can not afford to lose. Not if they want to keep the rest of the team together.

I agree . . . would not trade him unless we are talking about something extraordinary, like a First Round pick.

Trade Christen Michael for a Safety with potential and then Kam for draft picks.

Michael is not worth anything more than a conditional 7th rounder...the hawk goggles are a little too thick around here sometimes...

That might be the consensus around the league, but I would not trade away his athleticism (and two seasons left on his rookie deal) for so little. In which case, I do not expect a trade to get done, as I have said all along.

What would Kam's cap hit be if we traded him?

From overthecap http://overthecap.com/salary-cap/seattle-seahawks

Pre-June 1st
Kam Chancellor $4,550,000
$4,450,000 $1,000,000 $0 $0 $100,000 $5,650,000 $7,450,000 ($1,800,000)

Post-June 1st
Kam Chancellor $4,550,000
$4,450,000 $1,000,000 $0 $0 $100,000 $5,650,000 $5,450,000 $200,000

So $7.45M/$5.45M dead money and -$1.8M/+200K cap savings..

If he was traded it would be $2M in dead money in 2016 and $1 in dead money in 2017, and cap savings of $4.1 and $7.1M.

Maybe Kam would come in if we guaranteed his 2016 Salary. Then we can re-negotiate after that season.

Makes sense, he can get his new contract and we should be able to get about at least a 3rd round pick.

For Kam?

Better damn well be more than a 3rd.

Kam has to play 6 games to get an accrued season. If he sits out the entire year. He would still have 3 years left on his oontract. He has to play. The FO holds all the leverage.

It is the most baffling hold out I have ever seen. His deal isn't outdated he is still the highest paid SS in the NFL (Eric Berry is on a rookie deal from the old CBA).

I think what sparked this in Kam is seeing Kerry Williams get 7 mil. And Byron Maxwell get 10 mil. Sherm got 14 mil, Earl got 10 mil. Kam is looking at his 7 apy like fug this. But contracts are negotiated by position and he is the highest paid box safety he has no argument, and no leverage.

So if Kam wants to be hard headed let him. he will have to report by week 12 or he loses an accrued season.

Trading him makes no sense either because you would lose cap space and gain a measly middle round pick for the best and already highest paid SS in the game.

I'd hope they don't cave and trade him. If they did it has to be for another player, if picks wait until draft day.
