#1 in Total TDs (37)
#1 in Passing TDs (34)
#2 in Total Yards (4,569 combined passing and rushing yards, 40 yards less than Tom Brady)
#1 Highest Percentage of Team's TDs and Yards in NFL History
#1 Most 4th Quarter TD Passes in NFL History

Imagine if he had a competent play caller! :2thumbs:

Mostly against PREVENT defense in the 4th quarter. Russell Wilson must have the worst 1-3 quarter stats.

Russell Wilson is also 1-5 when the defense gives up 20 points or more.

Do you have anything that proves his production is against prevent defense?

I agree WIlson pulled a cousins, and pulled alot of numbers on prevent and soft defense, as they were behind and had to come back.

I dont think anyone here would denie, Cousins sucks, but he has put up some numbers in his career.

Wilsons better than cousins, but his game will forever be scramble in a circle, hit some guy for 40 yards on busted coverage, as his go to.
That sandlot stuff is somewhat effective, but a lot of the time its not there

Uh okay so no supporting evidence for the prevent defense claim. Cousins is pretty good, his efficiency stats were better than Russ this year and his OL was injured and at times worse than ours. Their defense was also a shambles due to injuries and not a great talent level so they lost many games.

Your second paragraph is nonsense but whatever. Wilson has a high passer rating from the pocket and was #1 in that stat in 2015. If you truly believe what you said there's no point arguing.

Wilson won't get the props for it either the national media seems to just want to pretend we don't exist . Finding a coach that can change that when Paul Allen does make a change has to be a consideration.

So....
Russell makes his living against prevent D? He simply runs around until coverage breaks down then throws to wide open receivers?
How do you explain his success against blitz or the fact he attempts more deep contested passes to soften the defense early in games?
If he made his living off Prevent defenses then you'd see many underneath routes late in games I'd bet.
What's funny is Aaron Rodgers leads a quick strike and he's the GOAT. Russell leads a quick strike and It's regarded as either a lucky catch by Richardson or prevent D.
If it were so easy for Wilson to get those stats then everyone could do it right?

your cherry picking his numbers this year

9th in passing yards
10th in rating
27th in 1st down percentage
6th in 20 plus
4th in most sacked
16th in least interceptions
1st in touchdowns
19th in pass yards per attempt
25th in completion percentage

Sorry not much there to support top echleon play that everyone thinks.
Quarterbacks are throwing more and more, and offenses rely on passing game in modern nfl, wilson is getting left in dust

"9th in passing yards" + "#1 in Passing TDs (34)" = " wilson is getting left in dust"

If you think Cousins is good watch his games. He looks like a backup.

Wilson is streaky and plays his best when he gets his literal russell wilson plays going. Some times you watch him and you are like holy heck, he is the mvp. And many times you are like what was that.
For a passing league, his stats dont stick out. There not elite stats. There more of 1996 running league pro bowl aikman stats, than Brady-brees-roethisburger-stafford stats

Curiously, troy aikmans stats and nfl rank in 1996 : CMP = 296(6th) ATT= 465(10th) CMP%= 63.7%(2nd) YDS= 3,126 (9th) AVG= 6.72 (14th) TD= 12(24th) INT= 13 FUM= 4 RATING= 80.1 (12th)

This was with emmitt smith rushing for 1200 yards that year as well. Thoughts? Are they comparable?

If you think Cousins isn't a starting level QB in this league...Consistently putting up top 5 to top 10 stats is difficult to call a fluke. He has some bad games in big spots which is why IMO he's not a top tier QB, but definitely a starter in this league. His stats were pretty comparable to Russ' this year. His TDs were lower and he had two more picks, but his YPA was higher. All this behind a patchwork OL that was probably not Seahawks bad, but was pretty terrible, throwing to receivers that aren't amazing. I don't buy him as a surefire SB QB, but he's better than a Dalton, Flacco (these days), Manning, etc. and comparable to Stafford, Roethlisberger, and Ryan.

Another Russ stat...

He was sacked less this year (43 times) than he was in 2013(44 times). Same thing in 2016(41 times). Over the last two years(84 times) He has been sacked less than he was his first 2 years(86 times). So I guess he's improving on that at least.

In comparison David Carr was sack more in 3 different seasons(2002 - 76 times, 2004 - 49 times, 2005 - 68 times), than Russel's highest total(2015 - 45 times)
