Not completely surprising? Witherspoon looked a little lost in preseason.

Not surprised. Flowers is everyone's whipping boy but he actually performed better than Witherspoon in the games I saw. Witherspoon reminded me of Cary Williams. Couldn't cover or tackle. At least they are able to get something for him.

Probably for a late round conditional pick, be stoked if it was not conditional. I think his salary was over $1.5M so that should carry over to them.

The only player I'd be interested in would be Claypool.
I'd lower your expectations a little, this has conditional 6th written all over it.

Good thing we strong at CB so we can afford to trade away a corner

Big trade coming up! The Seahawks can't go into this season with this DB line up. Say bye bye to the next 2 years of 1st round picks.

A non-conditional pick would be lovely.

Maybe we see John Reid brought back up from the practice squad.

At least we learned our lesson after the Dunbar situation where the DB's style of play didn't quite mesh with our defense and we are getting the DB off the team instead of paying them for very little.

Probably a non conditional 7th as the Steelers don't have a 2022 6th

So they're trying to rid the team of his salary and free up a roster spot- the return doesn't matter much?

Resulting Cap consequences ..............

Seahawks current Cap Space improves by $1,500,000.

Dead money increases by .........
$1,250,000 in 2021
$1,250,000 for 2022 void year.

Steelers get him on a one year deal for $1,500,000. Very friendly and trade-able contract.

That doesn't seem like all that favorable of a deal considering the current CB situation. He must really have not been a fit.

Carroll really trying to alleviate this weak cornerback depth.

I really think Cornerback is the weakest position group on the entire team.

It’s going to be the Seahawks Achilles heal but at least Carroll is trying to fix it as best as he can.

Witherspoon, I was never a fan of, he gets abused regularly.
