I think the colors are going to be black, red and several shades of grey.

Look at the website, those colors aren't just random. https://www.nhlseattle.com/

And look at the jerseys....

Her jersey is red because that's her teams jersey. Plain and simple, has nothing to do with the NHL team.

Ok, but too many coincidences.... the other black jersey, the website, her jersey. Sorry man, not buying it.

All of their web and print material has been charcoal and red. This would also make sense because a lot of northwest tribal art is black and red and with totems and sockeye as the front-running nicknames it would make sense. I have a feeling it will be the Seattle Sockeyes, black and red colors, tribal-inspired logo refined and clean matching the tech nature of the area.

That name would suck. Agree on the color combo, seems that is the way they are leaning based on everything associated with them so far that I have seen.

While there are other color combos I’d prefer. I could tolerate and probably grow to like a red/black color combo.
I think you could make it real sharp with Orange as a “highlight” color.

Seattle Stealth

I like that one. For me it checks all the boxes:

Pays tribute to Seattle's history
Sounds good to the ear
Isn't a pun or joke that will get old quickly (Sockeye)
Has great logo potential
Isn't potentially offensive to any group of people
Isn't already antiquated (Metropolitans)

I could go for the Seattle Stealth and be fully content.

There's already a pro lacrosse team in Everett called the Stealth, though. Not that it couldn't be used, but I imagine they'll go with something unique. Plus team names that are collective nouns just sound weird.
