I cannot believe I am even saying this but of that list, Kearse is the one I most want back and it's not close. I would be fine if everyone else on that list is gone next year.

I want Kearse back too. Kid has been clutch when it matters most.

Irvin - gone
Lynch - gone
Okung - gone...someone will overpay plus he's negotiating his own contract
Kam - possibly gone if Hawks don't renegotiate deal and have to settle for a trade
Sweezy - should be gone but Cable loves him and no one else should pay much for him
Mebane - gone at that salary for sure (5 mil)
Lane - likely a candidate for a Maxwell-esque deal from a desperate team
Kearse - hometown guy but will Hawks ante-up or rely on UDFA's, draft picks or gamble on P-Rich being healthy
Jon Ryan - was poor again this year. Can find someone serviceable and save against the cap (1.5 mil)
Fred Jackson - wish we could've gotten you a ring
T-Jack
Mike Morgan - 1 mil is a lot for his contribution
A. Rubin - liked what he brought but he's an UFA, so anyone can snag him.

Please be Bevell... Please be Bevell.

I think we keep Okung, because we honestly need him for his 6+ games per season, given the sorry state of the O Line. We are also still heavily Kam dependent.

How about Kris Richard? Sure they were the #1 scoring defense for the fourth year in a row but there were some serious laps in their dominance this year. It just hasn't seemed like the same dominating defense. I blame Richard.

Richard would get a raise to be some other teams DC within a week. And would probably make the LOB all go on strike.

Is Shead a FA? I am worried about losing the LOB depth - Shead, Lane, McCray... They all had a big part is shoring up the D this year.

Okung got absolutely destroyed today. Bailey played well. How is that possible if Okung is our best lineman?
Good question. He can't move very well so he should only be retained on a back ups sallary. I think JR should be re signed though as he is the only player on the roster worthy of being a starter at this point. Russell Wilson would be crazy not to restructure in exchange for some solid protection next season. He won't survive to spend his money otherwise.

Keep in mind there are 2 more UDFA Huskies waiting in the wings.

If the coaches all keep their jobs but jettison Kam, the locker room will mutiny, and for good reason. Kam should stay, Bevell and probably Cable should go.

That said, I predict all three of them will be back next year.

No one mentioned Graham....I say we trade him, release Beast mode, dont break the bank on Okung, if he wont take deal release him.

Our main focus this offseason is improving the Oline, blocking TE, & depth on defense.

We have the best QB in the NFL. Lets protect him.

The easiest way to answer this is, "What other team would pay more than Seattle would?"

Answering that, I would say Okung, Irvin, Kearse, and Sweezy.

Chancellor has lost favor and is no longer considered a core player. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe he will not be an unrestricted free agent. I believe Seattle deals him and deals him cheap, probably because similar to Browner, there are a small number of teams that can fit him into their scheme. He is a very specialized player that requires a rangy FS.

The front office doesn't even want to deal with Lynch anymore. He will never find another team that will pamper him as much either. He should just retire.

Getting rid of Kam is crazy talk. Wow some fans turn on a player quickly.

I think we need to move on from Okung but who do we replace him with? I don't think there are any UFAs that are better than he is. He already makes a huge salary so I don't think it would cost us that much more cap space to keep him. If we do let him go, Bailey is decent and could improve with more reps/experience, but I also wonder if we might move Gilliam over there. There are 3-4 good OTs at the top of the draft... perhaps we could package some picks to move up for one.

As for Irvin, I think we can let him go, especially if he gets a big offer. Plan A would be to move KJ over to the strong side and plug KPL over to the weak side. On passing downs KPL would likely come off the field so the impact there wouldn't be huge in that regard. The concern would be losing another outside pass rusher. We saw again (like we did in the last Superbowl) what happens when Avril goes out. I think if we let Irvin go we have to find another edge rusher. Clark has shown a lot of promise but he's not a Leo-type and we need another guy to rotate in regardless if Irvin is gone.

I'm okay letting Sweezy go if he gets a big offer. He shows some special qualities but he also screws up quite a bit in pass protection. Glowinski did a solid job filling in so I think we have an in-house solution ready-made.

I think we should try to keep both Mebane and Rubin. They are key to our #1 run defense. We probably wouldn't have to pay them any more than we already are to keep them.

I'd like to keep Kearse but I don't think he's essential. He had a career-best year with 49 catches and 5TDs but I don't think that is going to get him a lot of money, especially since he doesn't return kicks like Tate does. We do need to add some bigger receivers though, so if we lose him we'd need to find some size somewhere.

I'm concerned about both Lane and Shead being UFAs. No idea how much it would cost to keep them, but I think we need at least one of them, ideally Lane. We saw what happened with Maxwell... hopefully we can get Lane back at a reasonable cost.

The cap is supposed to go up by $10M, and we have Percy's dead money off the books. We could also save $9M by cutting Marshawn post-June 1. We can also save $9M by cutting Jimmy Graham if he's not recovering well from the injury. That should give us some flexibility.

We'll probably extend Doug, since it'll be the last year of his deal and he's had a career year. He's already due $5.6M but it'll likely cost a bit more $$$ to extend, but hopefully reduce the cap hit for 2016 based on how the contract is structured.

LASTLY, my pie-in-the-sky idea is to sign Von Miller even though he'll be franchised. He'd be the ideal replacement for Irvin, and would really make our pass rush deadly. Imagine Miller, Bennett, Clark, and Avril all going after the passer.
