Walk into a bar..No big deal, they just came to watch Geno Smith in the Playoffs LOLOLOLOL
I don't think Goff is where he's at today without his time with the Rams, I think that system gave him the experience necessary to succeed elsewhere. Is it just me, or has Jared Goff played the best football of his career? I'm not a fan of his or anything, but its kind of fun to see him thrive in Detroit. He looks at home.
So you’re saying Dan Cambell has built a culture there.. where players can be themselves and they’re comfortable.I don't think Goff is where he's at today without his time with the Rams, I think that system gave him the experience necessary to succeed elsewhere.
With that said, being traded to Detroit was better for him. McVay's offense grew stale, and LA went into desperation mode and gave up on Goff. Sure, McVay got what he wanted, but by severely strapping his teams future.
McVay & Goff are headed in opposite directions now. Goff has a bright future, and he looks happy in Detroit, meanwhile McVay hasn't looked happy in a while, and is currently speculating whether or not to return next season.
Another one (Brady) should have missed the playoffs but escaped because the division his team is in sucks. This is why I feel bad for the Lions. They should be in with a winning record. The Bucs don't deserve to be in the playoffs plus they get a home game.By average salary the top 4 paid qbs in the league missed the playoffs in rogers, Wilson, kyler Murray, and deshaun dittles.
Plus 10 of the top 14 missed the playoffs with all of them being paid at least 30 mill. Crazy to think of all the big names that are all sitting at home now
By cap hits this year (the thing that matters):By average salary the top 4 paid qbs in the league missed the playoffs in rogers, Wilson, kyler Murray, and deshaun dittles.

The thing that matters is total comp and win ratio. Your logic is skewed if a player gets most of their money up front with signing bonuses.By cap hits this year (the thing that matters):
1 Ryan Tannehill $38,600,000
2 Patrick Mahomes $35,793,381
3 Kirk Cousins $31,416,668
4 Jared Goff $31,150,000
5 Aaron Rodgers $28,533,569
6 Carson Wentz $28,294,119
7 Lamar Jackson $23,016,000
8 Dak Prescott $19,730,000
9 Derek Carr $19,375,000
10 Sam Darnold $18,858,000
11 Matt Ryan $18,705,882
12 Russell Wilson $17,000,000
13 Josh Allen $16,372,281
14 Matthew Stafford $13,500,000
15 Kyler Murray $12,669,481
16 Jimmy Garoppolo $12,641,176
17 Tom Brady $11,896,000
18 Joe Burrow $9,870,037
19 Deshaun Watson $9,395,500
Wilson and isn't due to be a top five QB cap hit until 2025. Wilson isn't even playing on his new deal until 2024.
Rodgers falls into the lower part of top 10 for 2023 and 2025, but becomes #1 in 2026.
Watson goes massive next season with cap hits of nearly $55 million through the 2026 season.
Murray is a cheap cap hit against next year (only $16 million) before he hits near Watson-level hits.
Total compensation is the #1 thing that determines the salaries under a cap in a season. The thing that matters is total comp and win ratio. Your logic is skewed if a player gets most of their money up front with signing bonuses.
It is disingenuous to simply put what the Broncos are paying Wilson though. He would not have played for the Broncos with such a small salary if the Seahawks were not paying $22M in dead money for him.Total compensation is the #1 thing that determines the salaries under a cap in a season.
True, Denver is paying (overpaying) that portion of his salary via draft picks. It is disingenuous to simply put what the Broncos are paying Wilson though. He would not have played for the Broncos with such a small salary if the Seahawks were not paying $22M in dead money for him.
Ryan Tannehill.....$38M cap hit? That is just insane.By cap hits this year (the thing that matters):
