Does anyone on the Board know if a block of Super Bowl tickets are allocated to the teams that are in the game? If some number are, do said tickets then get put into a pool or something for random drawing for season ticket holders or regular fans, or ?

Geez, the cheapest ticket on StubHub when I looked yesterday like $3,012 for a nosebleed.......

If seattle goes, season ticket holders are in a lottery for 2500 seats.

FYI- the face value on those $3000 nosebleed seats is $500

It better be for the "thrill" of attending the SB, because you aren't likely to see much from those seats. I have a hunch that they are not located in the owner's suite. ;)

What is the face value of tickets if season ticket holders win the ticket lottery?

If I recall correctly (after someone else corrected me) they range from $600 to $3000 per ticket.

STH that enter the lottery win the right to two tickets at a specific face value i.e. you don't have a choice, you can take them, or pass.

According to this article below it is 14,000 seats per team, not 2,500. Where did you get that number?

Pretty sure that number is from the 2005 Super Bowl. The team might get 14,000 but each player is allocated some tickets, each member of the front office gets some tickets, corporate sponsors (like CenturyLink) get a bunch of tickets, and so on. The number left over for the season ticket holder lottery is pretty small. From admittedly faulty memory I think 2005 there were less than 3,000 tickets in the lottery for STH.

For the 2006 Super Bowl the seahawks got about 12,500 tickets. After all the tickets were given out, the season ticket holders ended up with about 2,500 tickets. Since each lottery winner gets to buy 2 tickets, 1,250 season ticket holders got tickets.
There are roughly 62,000 tickets sold to season ticket holders, but how many season ticket holders are there. I'd say no more then 25,000 season ticket holders, probably less, since some holders have 2 or 4 tickets.
Also, the la times ran a story back in sept. about Super Bowl prices. Google it but if I remember correctly
60% of the stadium will be under a $1,000.00 im guessing that means around $900.00
Then there will be $1,500.00 tickets and $2,600.00 tickets.
I believe the ticket prices for Super Bowl XL were $600.00 $700.00 and $800.00. It was something like that.
Not sure what price level was sold to the seahawks season ticket holders.

Your math is close but off. There were 2500 winners of the lottery each taking two tickets for a grand total of 5000 seats. This number is exactly what my Seahawk rep told me would be available for the season ticket holders.

You are correct, the team gets 14,000.
They split all those tickets among players, coaches, staff, vendors, etc.
They leave 2500 for season ticket holders through the lottery.

Info is all over the place for it.
I'm only up on it because since I'm going to NY, I'd like to get in cheap.
So far, we've missed out on all superb owl ticket giveaways put on by the league.
