Lol no, I don't save video clips of penalties. I have seen it called a lot over the years

I am not asking if you have any saved, I am asking you to provide some evidence of your observation. I've searched for some examples of what you are talking about, and haven't seen any. I've watched a lot of football in my life, I don't remember seeing a flag on the type of play in question.

I checked the rule and yes it was a penalty for this reason: the ball left the tackle box. If the ball leaves the 3 yard window behind or in front of the LOS, it becomes a penalty. When the QB handed the ball to the RB, the ball exited the 3 yard window at which point it is not close line play

Darrell Taylor looks like a 3rd down pass-rush specialist at this point if he can't get his act together. Even in the Broncos game he was out of place and struggled against the run. I can't believe I'm saying this but maybe LJ Collier can come off IR later and play the run better.

I can't find anything in the rules about the ball leaving the tackle box. Every reference is to "contact" in close line play, meaning blocking or engaging a defender. Do you have a link/source?

Found a reference to the ball leaving the tackle area, and it calls out that this specific instance is not a penalty:

"ARTICLE 7. BLINDSIDE BLOCK
It is a foul if a player initiates a block when his path is toward or parallel to his own end line and makes forcible contact to his opponent with his helmet, forearm, or shoulder.

Note: It is not a foul for a blindside block if the forcible contact occurs in “close-line play” prior to the ball leaving that area. The ball is not considered to have left that area if the player who takes the snap, either from a shotgun position or from under center, retreats in the pocket immediately or with a slight delay, and hands the ball to another player, or runs with the ball himself. This exception does not apply to any action other than a designed play. Any forcible contact in “close-line play” is still subject to the restrictions for crackback and peel back blocks."

Ok I stand corrected on Taylor. There were still multiple fouls on that play. Take a look at Trent Williams holding then doing the classic hands up in the air. #11 and #69 both block in the back beyond the 3 yards

Block in the back is NOT illegal at/close to the line of scrimmage.
#8 was more than 3 yards from the line of scrimmage and #13 was outside of the point where the tackle was originally lined up. I went back and rewatched - close-line play does not apply to the block in the back of either player.
