With some argument the 60’s were the decade of the Packers, the 70’s owned by the Steelers , 80’s belonged to the 49ers, 90’s the Cowboys and the 00’s were dominated by the Patriots. Seattle had a real shot of being the team of this decade if they could have pulled off the repeat. With 2 years left could Seattle retake the crown or does New England have it locked
up? What would they need to do to seal the deal?

Taller QB :)

A few key pieces, Rush End and a better FS or more experience and a replacement for KJ which I think we have if we resign Kendricks.

Oh and resign our own players.

Only if they win the next 2 bowls. As steady as this team has been NE just had dominated the AFC.

This. And I don't even know if that is enough to be honest. The Pats have been to SEVEN STRAIGHT AFC Championship games, won four of them, and won two Super Bowls.

Even if the Hawks win the Super Bowl this year and next that would put them in four NFC Championship games, winning all four, and winning three Super Bowls.

You could make an argument that the Hawks resume would then be better, but I still think that even though I hate them the Patriots would have still been more dominant over the course of the decade.

Side Note: How friggen long is the AFC East going to continue to suck giant donkey balls and just give New England a free pass every year?

I'm actually having a "perfect vision" of being the team of the 2020's. We aren't knocking the Patriots off the 2010's, we blew that chance. :irishdrinkers:

Pete did not know how important the line coach was.

Or more importantly, Pete did not know how bad HIS oline coach was even though his son was his assistant.

About as long as the NFC West sucked giant donkey balls for the 49ers to get a free pass every year in the 80's.

Win the SB this year and next. Not happening. Especially after they throw a ridiculous amount of money at Wilson next year.

How much do you pay Wilson before letting him walk?

As a couple other mentioned, we would have to take the next 2 SBs to be considered the team of the 2010s. Although we've been the most consistent NFC team, right now, we're about the same as Denver (won 1, lost 1 this decade). But the 2020s are wide open and up for grabs so who knows what could happen.

They'd need back to back Super Bowl wins. New England's been to what, 4 this decade? And they've won two, so to beat them, Seattle would need to get to four and win three.
